Opis

On 440, going toward the Outerbridge to Staten Island, a stretch of the road has been in deplorable condition for at least 10 years. It looks and feels as if it had a really bad patch job, with lots of lumps and bumps...and was left that way instead of being properly repaired.
Every time we drive over it, we wonder how and why it has been left in such a condtion for so long.

I fear for my car on this stretch of road, even going to the extreme of paying to use the turnpike to get home. I have been in many poor Eastern European countries, and even there I don't think I've seen a highway in such bad shape. Are they not fixing this stretch of road on purpose so less people drive there?

Yes, this is definitely a problem!!! This is the main reason why I ended up getting an EZ Pass due to the extreme deplorable road conditions on 440. Can we get this fixed asap??

Again, I am the original poster. I have since even called NJDOT direclty...and it is STILL NOT FIXED!!!!

Hallelujah!!! It only took twenty years, but it has been fixed!
We were in total shock this weekend as we passed over the newly applied asphalt.

Thank you Click Fix, as clearly DOT would have allowed another 100 years to pass without fixing the problem>
