According to the City of Oakland's own crosswalk design standards (available here http://www2.oaklandnet.com/oakca/groups/pwa/documents/report/oak025058.pdf) the uncontrolled (not at a stop sign/signal) crosswalks across Telegraph at 21st/22nd should have at least been painted with ladder-style markings, and advance yield markings on the pavement, instead of just repainting the standard, two-line crossings.

If Public Works does not go back to correct this error soon please feel free to call them directly, referencing the "Crosswalk Treatment Options Chart" document.

Also, considering the speed of traffic on Telegraph additional treatments from the options chart might be warranted here, such as crosswalk signs, pavement markings, and possibly even an in-street Yield- to-Pedestrian sign.
