The Animal Control Officer will respond to this location in an attempt to identify the owner, if so, we can require them to vaccinate the cats. Unfortunately, there is no law that prohibits cats from roaming.

I'd like to reopen this issue to say a lot of us believe It's high time to initiate a leash law for cats-just like dogs. How can this be initiated? Adopted cats should require neutering and shots as well. We've been dealing with roaming cats since we moved here 4 years ago defecating in the yard and killing birds at the feeders.

Tenant at 120 High will have 4 of her kittens put down this week and keep just one. She could not find homes for them. Animal control officer will be checking on certificate of vaccination in next few days on remaining cat which will also be fixed. Tenant at 120 has been told to stop feeding ferals. Town will have to deal with ferals if they stay around..
