7901-7923 Pineville-Matthews Road Charlotte, North CarolinaMost of the time, traffic turning from northbound NC 51 to northbound Johnston Road, does not have a green arrow. The signal most of the time only gives a flashing yellow arrow, meaning you have to yeild. I've many times haven't been able to make the turn until the arrow turns red again because of no breaks in the traffic. It's a sure recipie for a lot of accidents.· Reported by Jacky Claiborne · Flag Flagged
7000 Carmel Rd Charlotte, NC 28226, USACars making a left from Johnston Road to Carmel Road do not have a green arrow. There are multiple accidents every week at this intersection. They really need a traffic light with an arrow. I live at this intersection and can hear the accidents from inside my home.· Reported by Anonymous · Flag Flagged
6701 Carmel Rd Charlotte, NC 28226, USAPlease adjust the timing of the lights at Hwy 51 and Carmel Rd.
The lights controlling northbound traffic on Carmel Rd stay green for only 5 to 10 seconds at a time. Traffic is horrific especially in the afternoon, backing up on Carmel trying to cross Hwy 51.· Reported by Keith Wilson · Flag Flagged
7901-7923 N Carolina 51 Charlotte, NC 28226, USAWhy would there not be green arrows at the intersection of Hwy 51 and Johnston Rd??? The green arrows are much needed on the east / west left turn lanes turning onto Johnston Rd. High accident area especially in rush hour traffic!· Reported by Jeffrey · Flag Flagged

There is always a traffice backup during afternoon traffic for traffic turning left from Carmel Rd. onto Johnston Rd. due to there being only one turn lane. Two lanes continue straight on Carmel where it immediately becomes one lane after the intersection leading into a residential area. Why can't there be two left turns lanes?
The majority of the traffic is turning left rather than staying on Carmel. During rush hour left turn traffic backs up to Carmel Commons. Cars that don't want to wait go up to the intersection and then wait for someone to let them into the left turn lane.
It would take adding another traffic light and some new pavement markings. As traffic increases this will only become more of a problem the way that it is currently set up.· Reported by Roger Plyler · Flag Flagged
