5149 Maplewood Los Angeles California
This house has been a blight and a total eyesore for years.
1. There are overgrown weeds, grass, and other vegetation in the sidewalk (on that patch of grass between the sidewalk and the street), and the front yard has not been maintained at all. If you park your car in front of this house, the passenger cannot get out of the car without stepping on overgrown grass, weeds, or whatever there is over there. The front yard is not being maintained at all, but there are flowers being grown on the patch of grass between the sidewalk and the street. If the flowers get any bigger, they will interfere even more with the cars that are parked there.
2. A towing business has been operated from the house for several years, and a big towing truck is always parked in the driveway of this residential neighborhood.
The house is owned by Maplewood Investment Group, LLC (registered agent: Benhoor Elyashar). The current residents appear to be tenants.· Reported by Shanie · Flag Flagged
500-650 N. Kingsley Dr Los Angeles, CA 90004, USA
Ice Cream Vendor: Diana’s Ice Cream
9523 Avalon Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90003. License # 8K66972.
Truck frequently operates outside of ordinance 176830 which states:
(c) Hours of Sales. No person shall dispense any item, including food,
from an ice cream truck on a street during the following hours: From 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. during the months of April through October and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. during the months of November through March.
It is November and this truck is currently on the street at 7:50pm on 12/10/10
Driver frequently forgets to stop music while parked to serve ice cream. This is also against noise ordinances. It is not uncommon to hear this truck's music through windows and walls over 1/4 of a mile away for 30 minutes straight.
Los Angeles Health Department was contacted with apparently no solution rendered.
I believe they have the right to sell their fatty sugary laden crap to the poor people of this neighborhood, but must we be abused by the aneurysm inducing music because this driver refuses to follow the law?· Reported by Sun · Flag Flagged
Edgemont St Between Beverly And 2nd Los Angeles, California
From Beverly to 2nd there are several non working/functioning cars that do not move (except for street cleaning, then back to their original spot). They are non functioning, or barely functioning, overstaying their 72 hour limit every week for months.
It's not just Edgemont, Koreatown has a major problem with vehicles that sit all week in one spot, park on the grass easement (Kenmore and Catalina) and/or the streets are used as repair stations for items more complicated than a simple oil change.
Who would we contact about this issue?
