Broad And Packer Philadelphia, PA
South bound Broad Street at Packer Avenue. The right lane is supposed to be for a right turn only onto Packer Ave to go towards 15th. There is a sign but it is usually ignored. The sign is very small, there are no arrows painted in the street. If you are familiar with the intersection and correctly go straight from the second lane attempting to enter the WWB on ramp and someone in the right lane ignores or does not see the "Must Turn Right" sign there is always a 'situation' where aggressive driving is the result. Not only should there be better signage but I would love to see a stepped up enforcement of this. I've witnessed a few patrol cars waiting for the light to change at that intersection who just ignore what happens.
Nothing has changed here. Still waiting for an accident or a shooting!!
2248 Christian Street Philadelphia, PA 19146, USADangerously large and inconvenient pothole. One cone. It needs to be filled.
268 South 16th Street Philadelphia, PA 19102, USAObserved vehicle idling for quite some time. The truck was not being used for any purpose. The driver and passenger were texting on their personal phones. I asked the driver if he could turn the engine off and he said "why," and the passenger laughingly asked if it was for the environment. I said for the environment and for rate payers. The passenger was still smiling about his environmental joke. The driver continued to ask why he needed to turn off his engine. I explained that it was a waste of gas and polluted the air, and PECO probably would not like to waste the gas. He eventually turned it off.· Reported by mikej · Flag Flagged
2042 Arch Street Philadelphia, PA
Below the train tracks and across from a shelter, there is an unsecured door. Voices have been heard from behind the door. It is not a sanitary place for people to stay. Please check out what is behind the door, make sure the people who may be forced to leave, receive support by contacting Project HOME's outreach hotline 215-232-1984. And then secure it with a padlock. It is not safe for people to walk pass the door, especially at night, without realizing that there could be people behind the door with bad intentions. Thank you for your help in making this city a better place to live in.· Reported by Anonymous · Flag Flagged
3300 Henry Avenue Eastern University - Falls Center, Philadelphia, PA 19129, USA
Tuesday March 26, 2013 - School Bus for Philadelphia University Idling for 1/2 hour or so in front of Falls Center Entrance. Day was warmish- bus was not occupied.
The Irony here is that Philadelphia University is supposedly featuring Sustainability programs and curricula, One would suggest en easy way to demonstrate a comittment to sustainability would be to reduce diesel's C02, SO2 and NOx emissions by turning an engine off when it's not in use.· Reported by Cm1701 · Flag Flagged
