South bound traffic crosses W. colorado going to N. Tyler, name change of Sylvan/tyler at Colorado. S. bound at colorado signal to cross intersection comes up a blind hill and makes a sharp right curve. Visibility is limited due to curve and hill. A warning signal before the curve and hill tells s. bound traffic approaching colo. to slow to 20 mph. A signal light can be seen from far back, before nearing the intersection. A person speeding thru the green light cannot see oncoming left turners until they pop up out of the hill and curve, directly on the intersection. Left turners going west to colorado at Tyler likewise cannot see the approaching traffic until they pop up at the intersection. We experienced near crash wile left turning at the intersection. The speeding vehicle could not be seen approaching until it popped up, at the intersection. We request traffic protection to protect drivers at this intersection. some improvements would be -- protected left turn lanes in both directions on sylvan/N. tyler. Left turns allowed and protected on only green light arrow, both directions. Change visibility of green light for south bound traffic at colorado, as is used in some places. So that drivers cannot see green light before the intersection is in view. More warnings to slow southbound traffic approaching colorado. Traffic police radar checks there, and possible red light cameras. It is a busy intersection used a lot by buses and emergency vehicles, and many others. Our solution is that we will never again make a left turn there to go west on Colorado. Traffic experts, please evaluate and help make this intersection sefer. thank you!
