When exiting the hotel it is difficult to see the traffic coming around the bend.
The bushes have been trimmed but need to be trimmed back more or removed. Its very a dangerous situation.
The issue is simple.. ticket the property owner upon a safety issue. This means city property owner or private property owner #1 or #2 Gayle st owners. Close the blog line.
oops vet I was thinking about the Walgreen issue @ Gayle Street. Same theme though different site. Someone owns the property these shrubs are upo be it city or private property and it is a safety issue.'
Drivers exiting from N. Armistead Avenue onto N. Commander Shepard Blvd frequently fail to yield to oncoming traffic. They apparently don't realize that they are merging into traffic and that drivers traveling North on Commander Shephard have the right of way. I have seen many near misses and was actually hit from behind while yielding to oncoming traffic (resulting in minor back injury and the total loss of my mother's vehicle). This traffic problem is often the source of conversation in my office. Perhaps a flashing red light or stop sign would help. This is a very dangerous area.
I commute 16 miles each way to work everyday. By far, this intersection is the most dangerous point in my drive. I have had several near-miss occasions & have written a letter to the City of Hampton requesting that they make necessary changes. I fear that the problem will only be corrected when a loss of life has occurred. A yield sign is not sufficient.
Call 311 and have them direct the request to Traffic division. This is a 3rd party blog not necessarily a regulary monitored site by responsible repair crews. Then close this blog
check the where did this report go. Hampton is not on it. Again this is a third party site that they choose not to monitor. Hampton uses 311 phone and internet. Again if you don't care report it here and it doesn't go to Hampton. Seeclickfix staff does not report to the City for you. They also try to get Cities to purchase aspects of this site to use this site as their reporting tool.
The traffic light at the intersection of RT 134 and Floyd Thompson Drive. When turning left onto Floyd Thompson Drive (into the research park), the timing is off. I have sat through 3 cycles of changes in the light before I was able to turn.
The stoplight at Sweeny and N. Armistead takes way too long for people leaving Langley. This intersection use to be "tripped" by traffic. Now people are needlessly sitting on Sweeny awaiting for the light to turn when there is NO ONE on Armistead. With the price of gas now days this is an incredible waste of resources and time.
This is a Traffic division of PW issue. Call the traffic division of PW directly or cal Hampton 311 and tell the girls to send it to Traffic Division. Then close this blog
just remember as before this is a third party site that is NOT monitored by Hampton. If you don't want the pot hole fixed report it here and don't call 311. If you want it fixed please call 311 and they will get it fixed in a timely manner.

I guess what needs to happen is to tear down some apartments to allow for another road to connect. My guess is that this is not reasonable. If you don't like the number of ways in and out you shouldn't have moved in. It didn't change after you moved. This is something that would have to be fixed by the apartment complex.
When turning left from Big Bethel onto Saunders, you are only allowed to turn left on a green arrow. There are never cars coming from the other direction and the light takes a long time to change. This could easily be changed to left turn protected on green arrow and yield with no arrow to keep traffic moving.
If this hasn't been changed you might want to call 311 and put in your request. This is a third party site and Hampton does not monitor for these types of suggestions. If this was fixed remember to close items you open.

This light is way too long on the West Park lane side also. It does not make sense when you look at the next light (North Park Lane). This light changes for all traffic making a right turn on red onto Big Bethel Road. So you sit for four minutes at West Park Lane, only to come to a red light at North Park Lane and Big Bethel, where there is no one at the light.
Something is triggering the stop light to change to red stopping traffic on Wythe Creek Rd even when the Langley Gate is closed and no cross traffic to pass. Weekend of 2/12-2/13, light changed red every 10 seconds. Possible issue with traffic at Club Twist.

I was cut off this morning by a man driving a silver Infinite who decided to make his own turn lane at the traffic light; I was in the outer left turn lane and he turned left along side me from Westbound lane headed towards NASA. He scared me because I didn't know where he was going. Had I not blew my horned and stopped he would have hit me.
THE TRAFFIC LIGHT ON MAGRUDER AND FLOYD THOMPSON DR STAYS GREEN FOREVER. IF YOU ARE COMING OUT OF DERBY RUN AREA OR NASA YOU HAVE A LONG WAIT. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO TURN OFF OF MAGRUDER INTO DERBY RUN AREA I DON'T CARE WHAT TIME OF NIGHT IT IS. YOU CANNOT TRIP THE LIGHT UNLESS CARS COME OFF OF FLOYD THOMPSON DR. PLEASE DO A TIME STUDY OR SOMETHING VERY INCONVENIENT!!!
