yes its a racetrack for pepole of all ages going to amd from mercy and vinal. speed bumps would work.

I also live on Brown which is a a constant crossover to and from rt 17 to Randolph. This road is way too narrow at certain points and has many children. The cars come flying down this street and yes on Randolph as well. I think a lot of them are the Mercy and Xavier kids.

dogs are suppose to bark for protection !!

If the owner thinks a dog the size of a football can provide that much protection then he should probably get his head examined.

The dogs were no more than puppies at the time of the report, the owners have since trained them, they maintain a fenced in well groomed yard, and walk the dogs regularly. They are not the problem, the individuals up to no good in the neighborhood, and the parents of the elementary school aged children that play in the streets at all hours of the night unsupervised ARE, no wonder the dogs bark!

I noticed the same problem on Main Street from Washington toward the North End. Can't people use the trash cans for their chicken bones and liquor bottles? Makes the area look like such a dump.

I live on Loveland Street in Middletown - there are two "roaming" pits for over three years now. I have been bitten twice now and my little dog got 14 stitches. My phone calls were weekly to the animal control and the police until they informed me there was no leash law in CT & to stop calling. There are days I have to call out of work because I can not safely get to my car and the police will not help me. I know who both the owners are and the cops do nothing.

BALONEY, I do not believe that the Middeltown ACO said there ar not leash laws in CT.

Dear Sammi, make a phone call to an ACO and educate yourself before you attack. The law says the owner simply has to have the dog under their control - no leash is required. I am still shocked about it. My dog had stitches from the pitbull attack that occured in my back yard, as all the attacks did.
And I have never called the police department unless my life or my childs was in danger, for example being trapped in our car by a pitbull for two hours as it pulled the bumper off the car trying to get in. I could not back out without hitting the dog which I was trying to avoid. In that case, I felt some assistance was needed. So I do not call cronicly but if someones bleeding or an auto is being torn apart; then yes I feel it's o.k. to call. Maybe I should call you instead and you can handle the matter in a manner you see fit.

Just like the Highlands residents cutting through Windshire Terrace parking lots. Trust me, it's not the k9's lowering the property values there....

Also- the police are not supposed to tell you to call ACO on Monday, they are to address the problem and have ACO follow up! This is an ongoining problem in the PD, pretending to not be able to do anything.

The ACO will come out and address the issue with the "owners" and probably eventually will have to take the dogs away since these "owners" will most likely not do what they are supposed to as responsible pet owners.

Three months ago the white pitbull that lives at 27 Loveland Street gave my poodle 17 stitches. I called the police for two days before I got a response. The response was to call animal control. I insisted that I wanted to press charges as the dog was unleashed and in MY YARD when the attack occured and I also suffered bites/scratches. I am still waiting for them to take the report. This dog is still in my yard daily.
I had to pay all vet bills. The dog's owner calls me horrible names and sics his dog on me whenever I try to use my driveway. He thinks it's funny that his dog leaves his droppings all over my yard and there is nothing I can do about it. The situation on Loveland St is scary for small children and animals.

I used to live at 23 Loveland and I was biten by the white pit bull twice. Calls to police and animal control were completely ignored. The owner is almost as scary as the dog so I just pack my stuff and moved. That dog was going to kill me as I tried to get in my car every morning. You guys should just do the same thing because the last time I went to the police I showed them my torn cloths and stitches. They gave me the voicemail number for animal control.
