1740-1748 S Glebe Rd Arlington, VA 22204, USA
VDOT or the County needs to look into restricting left turns from So.bound Glebe road traffic on to 17th Rd. S, during rush hour. Cars end up stacking into the intersection with Walter Reed or try to swerve out of the way of stopped cars.
I'm assuming the people are using this to get access to the Army Navy Country Club, but at least at rush hour, using 19th street would be a little safer.
Entrance To 395-S From S. Glebe Road Arlington, VirginiaWhen taking the ramp to 395-S from S. Glebe road, you have to merge with traffic coming off 395 before you can get on. There is NO merge space and the oncoming cars are coming up a hill and around a corner, making the merge practically blind. Far too often, a car will pull out to merge and then have to slam on their brakes because they can then see an oncoming car--if people behind them have already started to go, an accident is imminent. I was involved in an accident here and the Arlington police that responded said they have tons of accidents here, but that since it's an entrance to an interstate, Arlington can't fix the problem. If Virginia needs to make the fix, they need to know about it. Please help get the word out so a safer solution can be reached!!· Reportado por J. Anderson · Sinalizar Sinalizado
Obrigado! Agradecido!4 Mile Run Trail Arlington, VAThe new flashing yellow light signal that is activated immediately by pushing a button is better than the random crosswalk that isn't at an intersection. However by allowing the signal to be activated whenever a pedestrian wants to cross the street means that it isn't timed with the light at the intersection at S Shirlington Rd and S Arlington Mill Dr. Therefore when someone activates the signal right as the light turns green the traffic cannot move and the road backs up.
Is it possible to force the signal to be timed with the intersection lights?
