Traffic light timing is off Open

Main Avenue And West Rocks Norwalk, Connecticut

Traffic light timing has changed in last week. Traffic builds up in both directions on Main Avenue (Route 7), especially in morning and afternoon rush hours. Traffics backs up to Route 7 connector (northbound traffic) and well into Wilton (southbound traffic)

  An FYI, The city of Norwalk has its own app for citizen reporting. It's called Click Request. I am not sure if Norwalk is still monitoring SeeClickFix. Dont ask me why the city went with an app developed in CA over SeeClickFix based in New Haven!!!!

  I contacted the City of Norwalk Customer Service customerservice@norwalkct.org -- apparently that light is a State signal and the issue has already been reported to them. They are aware of the problem.

Non-observance of Crosswalk - Light Needed Archived

216 East Ave Norwalk, CT 06855, USA

There is a marked crosswalk in this location that is mostly used for train commuters during rush hour. Oncoming traffic does not properly observe this crosswalk. I have seen many near misses in 8 years of daily commuting and feel that this is a very dangerous situation for pedestrians. Unmarked police cars should park here for a day or two around 8:00 A.M. and pass out tickets. Better yet, a crossing light should be installed.

  This comment may be over a year old, but my husband and I do!
  In fact, I just reported a similar report on pedestrian safety on East Avenue, albeit focusing on the area around the I-95 on and off ramps.
  It is altogether true that large stretches of East Avenue are dangerous to pedestrians (and I'm not even talking about such relatively minor things as the low-hanging branches of several trees, one of which almost pierced my husband's eye during a recent strong snow fall).

Intersection at East Ave and Route 1 pedestrian cross walk not working Archived

54 East Ave Norwalk ct

The lone pedestrain walk button does not signal a change in traffic lights. First, the green signal to cross the street also signals cars to make a left onto East Ave. Second, the lights are impossible to see as a pedstrian. Third there is no way to safely cross route 1. This is a dangerous intersection.

Dangerous Seaview Needs Speed Bumps Open

37 Seaview Ave Norwalk, Connecticut

Speeders fly down this road constantly creating a dangerous environment. There is a ton of foot traffic and bicycle traffic along this road adjacent to Veteran's park. A few speed bumps is really needed and maybe a painted cross walk as well.

  According to our city planners, speed bumps wont be installed because they make plowing difficult. They stopped doing them 8 years ago. Alternatively, a rumble strip would also work as well as flashing speed sign.

Sign is lying flat on lawn at 6 Camp
Street. This sign helps to slow traffic on Camp Street and protect School children going to Tracy Elementary School. Please fix ASAP.
