Social Media Digital Defense

Just a reminder that tonight the North Port Police Department will be holding a Social Media Digiatal Defense forum to help keep our kids safe online. 

Sexting, online enticement, explicit images, cyber-bullying. All issues kids right here in North Port deal with everyday online. Come out and hear about the latest trends and apps (more than you think) which are having an impact on our kids. Detective Lee Wallace leads our Digital Forensic Lab and has a lot of information to share. Please come take advantage of this presentation. You may be surprised!

As far as bringing kids to the forum. The presentation is certainly geared more towards those looking out for kids. However, there are no inappropriate images. It really just depends on your relationship with your child and what you feel they should be exposed to. Terms and conversation about issues like sexting and online sexual predators are discussed.
