Do I need my neighbors approval to put a fence along the property line? In the former Princeton Township?

You do not need your neighbors approval to place a fence on the property line (in the former Princeton Township) as long as the fence height is below 6 feet 6 inches high. Fences below 6 feet in height do not need a permit; fences 6 feet in height to 6 feet 6 inches need a permit and can be placed directly on the property line; and any fencing above 6 feet 6 inches would need to adhere to the applicable setback requirements for that property or the property owner would have the option of filing for a variance.
