Liberty wrecking was called to pick up a car gray Buick reported to be abandoned on Friday 11-05-2013, when they went to pick the gray buick that morning it was not there. My car was parked in the area (white dodge mini van parked on a public street) driver didn't want to go back empty handed so he towed my car. Claimed he called then manager and told him it was not there but a white mini van was and the manager told him to just tow it. Motor still hot because it had been there for 20 minutes, exhaust still making cool down noise. COST ME $290.00 to get my car back. EXTORTION. They said I could contest it or it would sit there for $20 an hour. extortion. I got a statement from So ju restaurant and they said gray Buick not white van, I took pictures of where I was parked and where the no parking sign was. Reason for parking was that I helped a 70 year old woman get her truck to the shop and left my car parked in the street till we returned. 9am-9:30am. I returned to find my car had been hijacked. I contacted the owner of liberty towing and she was unreasonable. I asked her to correct this problem and she said she would contact me right back and never did. I went to liberty and argued with the woman behind the counter and she told me I was going to pay or it my car would stay in their impound lot at $20 and hour. I paid the extortion fees because I needed to get to work and pick up my kids from school. I had no choice but to file charges against Soju because it was their manager who had called Liberty Towing. I showed the judge pictures of where my van was parked and plats showing it was indeed a public right of way and the County Judge ruled in my favor. The Judge ordered So-Ju's to pay all my expenses. They never paid, they just fired their manager. I filed an injunction against them with the county and again, that was just a waste of money. Now it has been 3 years and 4 months and I have not even received a phone call much less the court ordered settlement.
