There are no speed limit signs on Oakwood Ave.
If you're traveling on Oakwood ave torward hoosick street... the first and only speed limit sign is way up on Oakwood ave BEFORE Oakwood cemetery! At that's a temporary sign built out of 2x4's.
By the time drivers get to middleburgh ave and the long HILL, they've forgotten what the speed limit is. I regularly see drivers exceeding the 30mph limit by 10-20mph.
I'm sure it'll take a pedestrian or a child to get killed before the city puts proper speed limit signs on Oakwood ave.
The attached picture is just west of middleburgh ave in the area where there are no speed limit signs. If you live in the area of travel through oftne, you recognize these homes.· Reported by ted · Flag Flagged
Interstate 787 Troy, New York
bridge ID number
The metal joints that vehicles drive over on the collar city bridge appear to be falling apart. I saw some workers woring on one joint a few weeks ago but now, another joint is "clunking" loudly when driving over it. If you drive on alternate 7 into and out of Troy, you've heard the joint "clunking" that I am reporting.
The bridge is 32 years old. When was the last time this bridge was thoroughly inspected from top to bottom?· Reported by sallyEMT · Flag Flagged

21-41 Pawling Ave Troy, NY 12180, USAPeople constantly treat this old cemetery as a dog park. They let their dogs off leash to run and many if not most do not pick up after their dogs. I know for a fact that folks drive in from Brunswick and Wynantskill, park on graves and let their dogs run. Can we please get some signs and start issuing tickets for these offenses!?· Reported by Disgusted neighbor. · Flag Flagged
Hoosick St And 10th St Troy, NY
The traffic jams at this very busy intersection were bad before the DOT added the extra long pedestrian cycle and the "no turn on red". Now with the changes to the light cycles at this intersection, traffic jams have been lengthened by at least 2 times and maybe more. I urge DOT or the city officials to look at this intersection again. There's got to be a quicker, more efficient way to get drivers through this intersection.
I also wanted to point out that Peter Ryan was just telling the times union what they wanted to hear back when this question was asked him about the oakwood ave traffic situation... http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Troy-makes-plans-to-improve-safety-on-Oakwood-4362151.php Neither of the things he mentioned he would do... were done.· Reported by helpthanks · Flag Flagged
238 Fourth Street Troy, NYThe "address" of the house is 238 Fourth Street REAR. The entrance is actually Williams Street Alley. It is a RED CORNER HOUSE. Two floors. Each floor has either two or three apartments. Cars are always coming and going. There is something going on in that house. Heroin needles found on sidewalk as well.

These 3 run-down buildings have been problematic for years. Drug sales and use, fights, constant noise and regular police visits.
Code enforcement recently visited and green tagged all 3 addresses as unfit for human habitation. Yet, the buidings are still full of people?
The neighbor appreciates code enforcement departments efforts. We really do. The easy part seems to be taping the green posters on doors. The hard, but much more important part of the job, is enforcing what's written on the green posters. Making sure the buildings are actually vacated, then secured, brought up to code standards, inspected and finally rerented. Without strict enforcement, not much changes.· Reported by NeighborhoodNeedsHelp · Flag Flagged
