All the street/sidewalk lights under the railroad bridges on Woodward are out. I previously contacted the CN railroad and they said they don't maintain the lights, it's the city's responsibility.

Cave-In over the Sewer Archived

Work done on Woodbridge street by technology company (ITC) contractor. They dug up entire street and are going all the way to Riopelle. In addition to blocking all the building entrances and preventing normal course of business operations, this is how they “fixed” the sidewalks. What looks like Asphalt over concrete. This is a hazard and looks horrible especially since newly poured concrete was just put in a few months prior following the last Woodbridge road work. We request the city to order them to stop further work and fix this disaster immediately.

Strangers Open

"Coldesak/Turnaround Dead End" On Ruskin St. 70-Feet East Of 23rd. (Closest Cross Streets=23rd. & Ruskin) S.W. Detroit MI

Strangers not of our neighborhood taking photographs with telephoto lens of ambassador bridge late at night around 1am. lack of proper lighting complaints by homeowners led to the bulb replacement of one (1) light where three(3) where and are completely ignored. Illegal dumping, prostitution, drug dealing, strangers parking taking photos of bridge still continues. citys to busy building dog parks to light up our area, because the city official that came out told us="THE ONE BULB THEY REPLACED IS SUFFICIENT LIGHTING FOR US" (QUOTE-UNQUOTE) ***Damn straight this is outstanding, but the decision makers don't live in this area.

  This issue with the Ruskin st.coldesac/turnaround has been ignored completely by the public light auth., police, & 911!!! The authorities will give it attention when the dead bodies start showing up, when the victims of countless assaults start doubling there, or gun fire continues when the endless drug deals start going bad, illegal dumping continues, and the fights get worse because men have beaten women there. But since no one of importance has been affected there it's all about out sight outa mine no one cares one bit!!

  The police have proven they don't care by ignoring our calls, the P.L.A. And city just give us the spin on getting this coldesac properly lighted, all it takes is the crew to come in the evening and park in the coldesac with their lights off and they could plainly see this is a dangerous spot just waiting for more crime to happen! But we do understand since no city officials or city politicians live in this neighborhood we are lucky just to get anyone to reply to our concerns. We keep monitoring this spot but we won't get involved anymore because the city's made it clear they choose to be "reactive" instead of "proactive" and since our safety comes first we no longer approach any mysterious strangers here as this spot grows with questionable characters and activity.
