136 Leonard Rd Hamden, Connecticut2370 days after this tree was reported to the Town of Hamden and the town arborist came and posted the "Condemned" sign, the tree remains. Today, the Town posted a notice that it was closing all old issues. The instructions were to repost if the issue was not resolved. The tree is still in place. It needs to be removed.
65 Treadwell St Hamden, CT, 06517, USAThe stop sign on the corner of Belmont and Treadwell (heading towards New Haven) is very faded....when the sun hits it, you don’t even see it (I overexposed this image). People are shooting through the intersection. It’s an accident waiting to happen. Can you please replace the stop sign?
2336-2346 Dixwell Ave Hamden, CT, 06514, USAWhen leaving the Bank of America parking lot via the southern one-way exit lane into the larger plaza, there is a signpost with conflicting signs. The one-way sign is correct. The no right turn sign is wrong -- it should be a no left turn sign. This was very confusing and I almost went the wrong way if not for the painted arrows on the pavement. Apologies if this is submitted under the wrong category; there was no traffic signs option.
1670 Whitney Ave Hamden, CT, 06517, USAImproper operation of traffic signal at corner of Whitney and Hawthorne avenues
Sometimes this traffic light stays green on Hawthorne for far too long and even when no car approaches on it and nobody presses the pedestrian signal. This isn't traffic calming; it just causes wasting of fuel and could make some drivers run the red light. The behavior is erratic; sometimes the signal operates properly. I'll try to post a photo of the traffic backup.

I would like to request removal of a tree from the public right-of-way in front of my house at 270 Ridgewood Ave, Hamden.
The tree is very large, has signs of significant decay and/or disease, and has recently shed several very large dead limbs onto the sidewalk where my children play. If the tree falls, targets include people, my house, vehicles and/or power lines.
I am certain that the tree meets all of the qualifications for removal. I would very much appreciate that you come and inspect the tree as soon as possible. I have removed all of the dead limbs that I can reach with a pole saw but there are many large dead limbs waiting to fall.

Dear Mayor of Hamden,
I just sent a fix-it report to the Engineering department and want to make sure that you have a copy of what I sent. Below is what I wrote.
"I sent a letter (by certified mail) to Mark Austin, Hamden Town Engineer, on May 24, 2018 asking the town to repair the sidewalk on Thornton Street near the corner of Whitney Avenue, as it is in dire and dangerous condition, as you can see from the attached photo. None of the cement pieces are stable and I fear that in its condition, it is inevitable that somebody will fall and possibly suffer serious injury.
In the letter sent on May 24, 2018, I included a letter signed by several neighbors who are witness to the unsafe condition of the sidewalk and join me in the request for immediate repair in order in order to make it safe.
You can reach me at 203.288.8100 if you have any questions.
I thank you in advance.
John Weinstein, Member of Branford Property Management, Owner of the building located at 1834 - 1842 Whitney Avenue."
