The new signal on Great Plain Ave at the rail road tracks is causing large traffic backups on Great Plain Ave unnecessarily. I understand that its purpose is to prevent people from stopping on the rail road tracks (which should be self explanatory), however the current configuration often causes backups down as far as Marked Tree Rd while there are no cars at all between the tracks and Chestnut St.

The traffic signal pattern on Chestnut St at Great Plain Ave has been changed within the last week. There is now only time for 3 or so cars to turn left onto Great Plain Ave, causing a major backup in the morning at an already difficult intersection. Additionally, the light pattern makes no sense, as the green left arrow is activating while the straight/right turn signal is still red, causing further delays.

The same problem persists even though you closed it out. The left turn lane vehicle sensor on West Street eastbound at Highland Ave still does not work. I know because I just finished sitting in that lane for 8 minutes before finally running the red light. If you are going to watch the lights cycle to verify this you need to do it when there are no other cars on the road late at night.

The "No Turn On Red" sign is missing from the light pole on Great Plain Ave eastbound at the intersection of Chestnut St. It has been missing since a truck knocked down the pole.

The left turn lane sensor does not work, so every night, when traffic is light, cars sit in the left turn lane with a red light until losing patience and running the light. The right turn/straight lane sensor does work. This has been reported to DPW Highway several times.
