There's been no water to the houses on Preston Street all day. I understand that it's due to an emergency water repair, but the vague reply to others who have reported it on this website - that it will be back on when the repair is fixed - is unacceptable. People need water on a hot day, they need water for hygiene reasons, we have elderly people and small children on the street and had no warning about the water turn off. The city needs to give the street a hard deadline for when the water will be back on - whether the repair is finished or not.
