Town of Okotoks provides service changes to online inquiries

The Town of Okotoks will be introducing an enhanced web-based reporting form for residents to document neighbourhood concerns ranging from malfunctioning traffic signals, potholes, and graffiti, to waste collection issues and damage to private and public property. As a result of this service change, the Click ‘n Fix mobile component, which was offered through a third party provider, will no longer be available.

As an online interface will still be available, residents and businesses will continue to have access to Report It using mobile phones, tablets or desktop computers. Report It will continue to allow users to provide locational, descriptive, and photographic information in real time and offer the ability to upload photos.

Phasing out the mobile app component of Report It will save the Town $8,000 annually in subscription fees to a third-party. Analysis of the mobile app usage analytics indicated that the mobile app was underutilized and cost prohibitive.

Further enhancements will be added to Report It in 2019, including a robust geographical mapping system.

The service changes to the Report It feature can be found on the Town of Okotoks website at http://www.okotoks.ca/report-it as of December 1.
