Plow dislodged drain grate. Grate has been slid back into place so I don't believe it is an immediate hazard, but is rocking in the casting and clanking with every passing vehicle (or pedestrian).
Grate is located on the fog line just onto Everett at the east side of the intersection of Everett and Cottage. (next to the small orphan section of sidewalk).

In both directions the 20mph school zone speed limit flashing signs are either not working or are flashing at the incorrect time.
  • Street Light Archivado
144 Cottage St Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Street light on pole just south of #144 Cottage is broken off at the head and hanging by nothing but its wires.
  • Intersection Cottage And Everett & 163 Cottage Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
We have seen notification that final paving will finally occur on Cottage St. THANK YOU. But are concerned some castings still appear to need repair. The casting in front of 163 Cottage has the word "redo" painted next to it, but looks like it was never fixed. A second casting at the intersection of Cottage and Everett has 1/3 of the rim broken off so a cover will not stay secured. These are both small castings--guessing to water gate valves.

Somebody drove through the wet cement when the casting in front of 76 Cottage was reset. There is now a 1 foot deep rut in the cement which is a risk to vehicles. This should be marked until the contract fixes it. At present it is unmarked and combined with the large number of other hazards on that street right now is a real risk.

Joseph East Alinger Drive Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Timing on 20mph school zone speed signs is off--sign visible when traveling eastbound may not be working at all. When I drove by today at 3:10, sign visible for westbound travelers was flashing but off by 3:20. School dismissal is at 3:16 so many buses and children are present at 3:20. Light should stay on longer.

Another one to add to your list in this neighborhood. Substantial damage to curbing. Large pieces of curb in roadway.

43 Eliot Hill Rd Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Plow caught curbing and large pieces of asphalt curbing are now all over the sidewalk. Sidewalk needs to be cleared and curbing repaired. This is just one of multiple locations this occurred in this neighborhood. I have reported the other major damage but other less severe instances also exist.

  • 107 Eliot Street - Memorial School Natick, Massachusetts - Natick
Vegetation has substantially overgrown the roadway that leads around the northwest corner of the school (beside the kindergarten playground) to the rear of the school. This roadway is traveled daily by dozens of parents during pickup from the after school program. As the days are getting shorter it will soon be dark and this roadway is so narrow 2 cars can no longer pass. A few quick passes with a mower deck or boom mower on the north side of the roadway would really help out.

I know this is an ongoing repaving project, but it has been more than 2 weeks since the milling and the road is now nearly impassable. Multiple cars have received flat tires (police reports are on file). In addition, the east end of the project is down to one lane do to a large pothole marked with cones and this creates a safety hazard for the many school buses that pass this way to/from the Rockland bus facility.
