    Sidewalk Repair Acknowledged
    387 Essex Street Salem, Massachusetts, 01970 - City of Salem
    The brick sidewalk along 387-389 Essex Street is in need of repair. The sidewalk is uneven and many of the bricks have moved far apart. This stretch of sidewalk gets a lot of foot traffic: MBTA bus stop on the corner, route to Salem Public Library and Grace Church. Thank you!

    This sink hole at the intersection of Essex and Flint Streets has received repairs before, but unfortunately it has begun to crater again. It is located in the center of the intersection and is at the center of a pedestrian crossing. Heavy trucks pass through here frequently and make a loud crashing noise when they go through it.

    Hello, The pot hole around the manhole cover in the crosswalk at the intersection of Flint and Essex Streets has returned. It's location in the middle of the crosswalk makes the pothole a hazard for pedestrians, but also creates loud crash noises when large trucks drive over it.

    Hi - our trash and recycling bins were both not picked up today. Our next door neighbor's trash bins were also missed. We do our best to line the bins up so they can be accessible by the automated truck arm, but there is overnight street parking that sometimes blocks our bins.

    This week, the City Tree department pruned several trees we had reported in SeeClickFix Issue ID: 8824226. They did a nice job on those. However, the first tree pruning issue we reported was overlooked during this visit (see Issue ID: 8824244). This is the tree at the end of the driveway, which has a leaf-blight disease. The tree health inspection recommended pruning. I've attached a photo of the tree. Thanks!

    The Bradford Pear in front of the building appears to have fire blight disease. Would this tree benefit from pruning/trimming to prevent the disease from worsening?

    In the last big storm, branches from the tree were hitting against glass windows on second floor of building. No property damage, but I am concerned about future storms.

    There is a large hole where the street pavement and sidewalk curb meet at 387 Essex Street. It is fairly deep and has caused damage to the undercarriage of our vehicle. The sidewalk is also very uneven. This area has a lot of foot traffic, due to the library, church and adjacent bus stop. It would be great if it could be repaired.

    There are two pot-holes at the intersection of Flint and Essex Streets. One is a very large one, located around a manhole cover, in the middle of a crosswalk. The other is smaller and near the other cross walk.
