Traffic Safety (non-emergency) Acknowledged1501 Fruitvale Ave Oakland, CA, 94601, USA - HawthorneSpeeding traffic and a left turn off of Fruitvale onto 15th St. - I saw my co-worker, who was on the sidewalk, jump out of the way when one of the cars went on the sidewalk to avoid a crash. I am so grateful she did not get hurt... or killed at that speed. 1) speeding is more of an issue with the International work 2) the traffic light for Pedestrians crossing takes a long time to change.

Traffic Safety (non-emergency) AcknowledgedFruitvale Ave Oakland, California - PattenFrom School St to Foothill, Pedestrian crossing signs have been added in the middle of the street. Traveling towards the bay there is no bike lane, the way these signs were installed pushes car traffic to swerve into cyclists. Protecting the signs with parking blocks really makes cars move to the right. This tactic of protecting the signs is futile, i have already sign signs torn down at least 5 times since they were installed.
