The right of way in front of the old Atlanta Gas Light property on Riverview Road needs cleaning up. There's no safe place for a pedestrian to get off the road, when a car passes because of the overgrowth and the possibility of snakes. I'm unsure if any of the limbs or vines are obscuring any road signs. The area needs attention, it's unsightly. Thank you!!!

This isn't the exact address. There are several addresses on Riverview Road that are violating the trash can time ordinance. ( Code of Ordinances: Chapter 22 "Solid Waste Mangement", Article ll, "Collection and Disposal", Sec. 22-25, "Utilization of solid waste containers", paragraph C & D. The problem is that trash cans are left at the curb 24/7. The red (and blue) cans live at the curb, with some the lids open. They are only supposed to be at the curb for 24 hours...7PM the night before pickup till 7PM after pickup. It's an unsightly eyesore, please enforce the time ordinance on trash cans at the curb to clean up the neighborhood and the city. Please help! Thank you!!! (There needs to be a separate category for reporting trash cans, it's a problem in many areas of the city.)

We need additional or larger speed limit signs on Riverview Rd, please. The sign by the old gas plant is barely visible. It's obscured by foliage. Traffic is speeding through going to Amerson Park while kids are playing and people trying to walk....no sidewalks. I'm surprised that an accident hasn't happened, yet because of the basketball players in the street that barely move when traffic goes by. A weight limit sign would be appreciated because we have city buses (every 45 minutes...6 days a week) and some errant 18 wheelers. A directional sign encouraging traffic to only use N.Pierce as an entrance to Amerson would be helpful. Thank you for your assistance to this matter.

Numerous red trash bins left on street 24/7. Several of the old green cans are also left on street, some with trash that doesn't get picked up. These are mostly rental houses with the tenants probably unaware of the ordinance. Please ride through the street to get correct addresses to be able to notify the property owners to make their tenants aware of the ordinance in their lease agreements. I'm tired of looking at the eye sore and trash every time I come home. Thank you!

The park on Riverview Road needs further clean up from the April tornado. Uprooted tree left on ground and stumps left tangled in the vines and trees on the side of park by the old gas company. The ground around the play equipment needs "soft landing" placed under playground equipment. I'm unaware of the condition of equipment questions, but probably need attention also. Only a ride-by observation about the storm debris eyesore and safety issue. The park needs beautification! Thank you!

Curve warning sign is down in front of telephone pole (with bus stop sign) on 2793 Riverview Rd at Avenue of Pines.

When will the old trash/recycling carts be picked up on this road? Please provide a definitive window of time for each "pick up zone" for the week. There's not a good spot to leave them out indefinitely, killing grassy areas sitting for weeks. Please help!!! Thank you!

Deep rectangle,brick shaped, gashed out pot hole in the breaking area of the left turn lane headed north on Riverside Dr.onto Wimbish Rd. near the traffic light in front of the bank on the corner before the Hyundai dealership.

This issue was previously reported on 2/15/19. PW(804)reported: Filled pothole with cold mix on 2/15/19 and the issue was closed. It must have been a different hole because the same hole was still there on 3/13/19.

I have tried to give the most accurate location and description as possible, I don't understand how it was missed the first time. I don't know why others haven't reported it also, deep hole.

This property has been an eye sore that invites crime into a mostly safe area. It seems that any work being done has stopped a long time ago. Not to mention property devaluation! It either needs to be fixed or sold to someone who can bring it to the standard of the neighborhood in a timely manner! The property owner, Simmons Enterprises I,LLC, lists Brad Simmons as the agent. It appears that Brad Simmons is also co-owner of the new Macon Smiles Piano Bar at 570 Mulberry Street. I look forward to this issue being addressed and not being allowed to continue as is. Sheriff area 3B request: Random, occasional speed enforcement needed to keep non residential traffic from speeding through the neighborhood going to the Amerson River Park, especially on weekends. We don't need someone sitting all day, just an occasional check for speed till they get the message. There are youngsters playing ball in the street that won't move when a car comes. A young man speeding on a motorcycle paid the price today by hitting the brakes too hard in the sharp curve causing him to crash into the ditch. I was in my yard and heard it, knowing what happened because he had just blown by me. I got in the car to go check on him, he seemed stunned, but not hurt. Thank goodness that he seemed to be dressed for riding...no road rash. I told him that he was going way too fast and that I had heard him crash and knew what it was because he was speeding. I reminded him that the neighborhood speed limit is 25 mph! I reminded him that there are people walking on the road, mostly kids. Thank you!

This is probably a GDOT matter. I believe it's part of the "Prince Project". Lights under the underpass were installed MONTHS ago, however they seems to have yet to be turned on because I came through the "dark tunnel" the other night. At certain times of the day, it's very dangerous because of the sun's glare and not being able to see oncoming traffic. Can you please help to get the lights turned on after 3+ years of waiting for them? I seems to never be able to catch the right person in the office when I call GDOT. THANK YOU!!!

An asphalt patch has sunken causing a dip in the road that creates a noisy problem when cars and trucks run over it. Not to mention the wear and tear on vehicles.

Not urgent, but it would be nice to have it smoothed out. Thank you!

All of my neighbor's got picked up. The problem with a Friday pickup schedule is that's there's "no tomorrow" for pickup as it was when my pickup day was on Wednesday. I don't know whether to leave it out or put it up.
The problem is that the bin is full and I don't want to have to drag that weight back down the hill due to hand and arm impairments. However, I guess I'll have to because it's too ugly sitting in my yard over the weekend. Frustrating limbo, not knowing when it will get taken care of! I called Friday and was told that it was being passed along to a supervisor. Please help ASAP, thank you.

Unsure if this is a right of way or private property. There is standing water in the ditch several days after rainfall because the ditch needs cleaning. With the Zita virus looming, it causes concerns for the neighborhood. Most of the drainage ditches in this area need clearing out because they are clogged or over grown. If it's not a right of way, is there something else that can be done...such as letters to inform home owners with years of neglected drains to clean it up to help avoid potential mosquito problems? Thank you!!!

Is bi weekly recycling day the same day as trash pick up day?

Turn lane in front of State Bank on Riverside Drive headed towards Wimbish Rd. is backwards. It needs to be re-striped to be a left turn lane headed north. Before repaving, it WAS a left turn lane. Since the re-paving, the lane markers are also shorter turning into Riverview road headed south than they were before re-paving. The solid yellow line doesn't allow traffic to move over into a left turn lane going into the bank that used to be there....causing a back up of traffic (and angry honkers). I believe that it used to be white broken lines before.

Please observe traffic trying to left turn into State Bank in the late afternoons, especially Fridays. Please revert back to previous lane markings to make it safer for everyone!

I have previously talked to some DOT representatives about this issue, to no avail..so this info will need to be forwarded to appropriate authorities. THANK YOU!
