Sometimes I wonder if the BYA staff enter the building with their heads down, completely oblivious. There has been gang related tagging on their garage door, near the main entry, for months. There are also several gang-related tags on the East side of the building, facing Strawberry Creek Park right next to where children and families gather. The community should not tolerate this near any public park. What kind of ALTERNATIVE is this for at-risk youths? This is Darryl Moore's District.
  • Gang Graffiti Archived
2201-2207 Bonar Street Berkeley, CA 94702, USA - Berkeley
This building is chronically tagged with territorial gang graffiti. To my recollection, about 2 years ago, there was a triple shooting with injuries at this very location. This is Darryl Moore's District.

This debris was found on 4/5/13, at 730AM. This box had been clean for a number of weeks but now mysteriously a lot of lengthy wire is being left behind. My dog picked up a piece this morning but fortunately I got it out of her mouth in time. This is Darryl Moore's District on his street. He is aware this problem exists widespread in his district, but has failed to do anything about it. Call or e-mail Moore and tell him the city needs to take action against AT&T, (510) 981-7120 or dmoore@cityofberkeley.info
  • 920-998 Allston Way Berkeley, CA 94710, USA - Berkeley
Here is more debris left by AT&T technicians. This is near Rosa Parks School. Unfortunately, you can only upload one photo, but there was debris on the other side too. Won't take much of a runoff to take this right to the Bay. This is Darryl Moore's District. He is aware this problem exists widespread in his district, but has failed to do anything about it. Is this the example we are setting for impressionable minds when we allow companies to leave their litter near schools, and we then expect our children to pick up after themselves? Call or e-mail Moore and tell him the city needs to take action against AT&T. (510) 981-7120 or dmoore@cityofberkeley.info.

For years, AT&T technicians have been leaving their debris behind at over 30 telecommunications terminals (the green boxes) in Berkeley, littering the public easements and the street gutters leading to the Bay. The Mayor, all City Council Members, the City Manager, and AT&T Corporate officials have been aware of this problem for the last 7 months but have failed in their efforts to stop it. Please join your neighbors by sending a clear signal to city hall that we will not tolerate this continued littering in our city. This is Councilmember Darryl Moore's district, dmoore@cityofberkeley.info, (510) 981-7120. Please contact him and voice your concern. • 901-903 Peralta Avenue Albany, CA 94707, USA - Albany
This debris was found right next to 7-11 in Albany. For years, AT&T technicians have been leaving their debris behind at over 30 telecommunications terminals (the green boxes) in Berkeley, littering the public parking strips and the street gutters leading to the Bay. The Mayor, all City Council Members, the City Manager, and AT&T Corporate officials have been aware of this problem for the last 7 months but have failed in their efforts to stop it. Well it looks like it is happening in Albany too. Please join your neighbors by sending a clear signal to Albany City Hall that we will not tolerate this continued littering in Albany, like City Officials are allowing to happen in Berkeley.
