We have been complaining about the open gate, at the mass pike service plaza, for over 2 years. Why hasn't something been done about this?!!

Thanks for the prompt assignment. My understanding is that Mass DOT has the authority and jurisdiction over the gate/rest stop & local Framingham PD would have to enforce the speeding on Woodland Rd. Thanks!

You don't save any tolls using that or the eastbound Natick rest area entrance, just laziness by DOT workers. The overhead toll gantries are placed to cost you the toll regardless of where you get on. If you use this Woodland Rd entry you will still get hit for the toll 1/2 mile west when crossing over Edgell Road. Natick's entry gate is always open and MassDOT will say it's for snow plowing but it was open last July and August and September... I would simply swing it shut and just like MWRA yellow barrier gates to the untrained eye it's now closed again.

Content blocked ?? This problem has got exponential worse ever since they paved the "road" from Woodland to the plaza..There really should be speed bumps on this road, before the road was so bad people had to drive slow!!

I agree that paving that road has made the problem worse. The poor condition of the road previously curtailed some of the nefarious behavior. Now they feel more empowered!

The Mass Pike gate at the service plaza has been open for over a year now.
Our neighborhood has become an unofficial on/off ramp to the highway.
The open gate, along with the recently paved road leading to it, has cars flying through our neighborhood.
Pleas sit at this parking area around the afternoon commute and watch the cars unlawfully exit the pike and FLY onto Woodland and Florita .
I sat her for 5 minutes and shot video of 3 cars exited the pike through the open gate.
Why is NOTHING being done about this?

There is a large amount of trash under the fence that separates the pike plaza & the access road to it( at the end of Woodland dr). This has to be attracting mice rats and all sorts of other wildlife.
I know this probably isn't the town's property but there must be something it can do to get the DOT to clean & maintain this area.

I love the new led lights in the woodland& brook st area, much better now!

How would one go about requesting a street light be installed? Cars constantly "park" between my house and my neighbor in a blind spot under a telephone pole. They leave their trash all over the place after they are done smoking something that requires them to light it every few seconds .We call the police but it can take them a half hour or more to respond sometimes , frequently the cars are gone before police arrive.
