But if wind blows, or snow/ice builds up well positioned to take out major power / communication tower wires or block road etc. pedestrian / vehicle hazard. These lines feed into communication tower.     When traveling north on Sawyer St, you approach the Fellsway East roadway. There is no signage to give any advice - the only safe direction is to make a sharp right turn, but the roadway looks wide enough, and tempting enough to go straight - but shooting that gap would bean exceptionally dangerous route to take. When they rework this, can a "Right Turn Only" sign be added, or appropriately safe signage? Thanks.

    A number of people have expressed desire to relocate the Fellsmere Park "Portable Toilet". The current location near the information kiosk has some cons to it. (First impressions of park, proximity to the "info kiosk" etc.) Could the "Portable Toilet", which is designed to be mobile, be re-located further down the path (perhaps under light closer to pond) or in vicinity of picnic table area? Perhaps this could be rotated between locations on a seasonal or periodic basis? Thanks.

    There are three bundles of sticks and branches and twigs neatly piled alongside the Fellsmere Park walk to the "Overlook". They were cleaned up by citizen volunteers. Can DPW please pick up/ take away? Thanks you

    Fellsmere Park has huge amounts of leaves covering walkways on the interior of the park and also on the sidewalk along Fellsway East, from Prospect towards Savin. There are also many areas with sizable fallen branches, including tree trunks. Is there a fall "clean up" plan for this? Cosmetic, "safe passage" concerns and fouling the pond water concerns. Can the DCR provide equipment and staff to help remove leaves before the snow files? In some places leaves are ankle deep and slippery when wet. Fall cleanups would seem to help avoid future slips and limit "dredging" of the pond - and look nice too. Thanks ...

    At the 9/14/17 Open Space and Recreation Plan Committee meeting, an ongoing ADA accessibility review of Malden's open space and recreational areas was discussed.

    It was noted that there are no designated Handicapped Parking spaces at Fellsmere Park / Pond. (See Nov 2015, page 9 - http://www.friendsoffellsmerepark.org/FPMP/FPMPRev10.pdf)

    It was the sense of people attending the meeting that this could and should be addressed through the Malden Traffic Commission. Based on the existing parking patterns, it appears a logical place to situate at least one handicapped parking space is on Fellsmere Road, near the eastern intersection with Savin.

    Trash in blue bags, left out in barrels, near corner of Earl and Dexter not picked up. Also, blue trash bags sitting on Clifton near Dexter and Earl not picked up. Also, appears most of the recycling along Clifton not picked up. Thanks for following up on this.

    98 Kennard Street Malden, Massachusetts - Malden Ward 6
    Malden's public park facilities known as Howard Park (aka South Broadway Park ball field and tennis courts) are locked and chained. This prohibits public access. The funding and grant money used to renovate this site reportedly requires the site be open and available to residents and non-residents alike at all times. According to state officials, the locks and chains should be removed. Thank you.

    Seery Street near East Border very steep incline and no salting or sanding this AM. (Actually all of Seery street very slippery today.) Resident reports if it doesn't get done early it quickly becomes a problem. Car skidded this AM and collided with fence causing property damage. Hoping this can get on the sand / salt / plow priority list for the next storm. Thank you.

    Flagpole at 162 Elm (also known as the Harris Delta) needs a flag and a fresh coat of paint. Flags existed there previously. Perhaps something could be done as the "Patriots Day" movie rolls out? (Since scenes were filmed in Malden - not too far from here....) Thank you.

    The sign at the southern entrance to Fellsmere Park is weathered and badly damaged; the text is out of date. A new, historically appropriate replacement is needed. The signpost also needs a fresh, consistent coat of paint. Thank you.
