A black metal public trash can that has serviced this corner for well over a decade suddenly disappeared between approx. 11:45am and 12:pm today (Tuesday, April 9th 2024). It would appear to have been stolen. This corner SORELY needs this receptacle - as it keeps the adjacent properties clear of food wrappers, beverage containers (and of course, 'dog doo' bags) being as it is right near the PHS, PMS and WCC, providing the direct foot route to Nassau Street. PLEASE replace this trash can ASAP - even if it means bolting the can down to the pavement! Thank you in advance for your prompt attention and assistance.

Went out for an early evening walk around 9:00pm. Walking on the sidewalk right next to the Princeton High School - my right foot hit the raised sidewalk square and I smashed my big toe, HARD - and nearly stumbled and fell. I'm now home with a VERY swollen and painful (possibly broken) big toe on my right foot - with waves of pain over parts of the foot every so often. Apparently this raised pavement square and safety hazard was reported 7 MONTHS AGO!
  • 48 N Harrison St Princeton, NJ, 08540, USA - Princeton
The entire length of public sidewalk from 48 N to 49 N Harrison Street - up to (but not including) the bus stop - is uncleared of snow and impassable - forcing pedestrians to walk into the roadway to continue.
  • 114 Spruce St Princeton, NJ, 08542, USA - Princeton
Withe the exception of the driveway for this property - there looks to have been NO attempt to clear the snow from the sidewalk - thus, clearance for pedestrians is impossible here.

Actually - this is to report a stolen/missing yellow recycling receptacle. We put out our recycling Sunday night (the usual two dark green plastic receptacles and one yellow one - which we've had for at least 15-to-20 years or more. The recycling was picked up - but our yellow receptacle is inexplicably totally M.I.A. - and was discovered to be so around 5pm on Monday. We would very much like it located and returned.

For the 2nd time in a week, large amounts of household (and construction project?) trash has been dumped at the public trash can at the sidewalk-corner of my address at 51 Hawthorne Avenue. In both cases, there are cardboard boxes (both stuffed in the can and sitting on the street) that sport shipping labels going to a Constanza Ferro at 134 Moore Street. I've gone to that address on foot (about a block away - which has it's own nearby corner public trash can!) and no one appears to be there - except for upstairs lights on - and empty trash cans sitting neatly in front of the garage (!)

A pool of standing rain water has collected in a pothole adjacent to the exclusive teacher's parking area and the driveway of the Westminster Choir College - clearly causing a mosquito breeding hazard. Please note that this is a different area of standing water - although nearby the other one at the end of the driveway and curbing - again just reported.

And for a third time - a pool of standing rain water has collected in a triangle of curbing next to the sidewalk/road and near the driveway of the Westminster Choir College - a mosquito breeding hazard. Sadly the issue continues to re-occur - the problem being that vehicles invariably drive right off of the driveway-curbing and right into the area - causing an impression. Clearly something more than filling in the area with soil is in order.

Once again - a pool of standing rain water continues to collect in a triangle of curbing next to the sidewalk/road and near the driveway of the Westminster Choir College - certainly an ideal mosquito breeding ground.

I happened to be outside the property - performing some touch up snow removal by hand with shovel just before 11:00 am - when I noticed a backhoe excavator removing snow at the corner of Hawthorne and depositing it to the side of the driveway at The Westminster Choir College. In taking a closer look at the operation as it was happening, it became clear that the operator of the equipment misjudged and removed a gash of lawn and top soil - going down approx. 6-8 inches - leaving a large patch of soil that will very likely turn into mud - as there is now no grass to hold the soil in place.

Sidewalk square/slab is displaced to the point where it is a MAJOR safety hazard to walking pedestrians who can very easily trip and fall if they are not looking down (especially at night.) This has been like this for quite sometime - easily a year or more - so much so that the red spray paint that was once applied to alert to the hazard has mostly worn off.

There are workers(not wearing masks) dry-sawing concrete at this location and white dust is being blown all over the neighborhood. This has been going on for several days.
