What is going on cars speeding up and down state line road and through the neighborhood . if a driver is following the law doing the speed limit 35. they speed around them on the opposite side of the street and keep going. in time there will be a head on collision. as you well know we have call about cars doing donuts in the intersection of state line & warren. also at that intersection. skid marks in the street where cars line up and drag race going towards sibley late night. we noticed this because of the very loud modify engines and tailpipes that are on these cars. you asked us to call and we do when the police shows up these people are gone. a lot of calls have slowed down because people feel nothing has changed. very discouraging. no speed bumps no cameras on state line road. what is being done about this we are here listening. the Closing of gas station at state line & sibley. at certain hours we believe it will cut down on the late night drag racing. extremely loud music. strings people roaming through your neighborhood looking for a place to do their business and leaving there trash. for you to clean up. the only people up there at those hours are. Pimps. and. Prostitutes.

yesterday night more of the same. this time police were called a large group of people on the property drinking and smoking that stuff standing in the yard and in the street setting off fireworks. this started a little after 10:00 pm it seems they are trying to make this their new playground. no one knows what goes on in that apartment. but what we do know is since they moved in our normal lives have became miserable. around 2:32. am in the morning two guys arguing. by the time i looked out the window one of the guys jumped in the car and went speeding burning rubber down the street. Here we go again the property owner of 16 warren. has let people move into their second floor apartment who are tryin to tear down the neighborhood. just about every night groups of people has been running in and out of that place. parking their cars in the alley . in the back drinking and smoking until late hours. some of the people are known for walking up and down state line road. yes we are older but we still deserve the right to live out our days in peace. can you please please contact the property owner and let them know what is going on. this is only going to get worse in time. i wanted to talk to her but she and her friend can be quite intimidating. again can you please get in touch with the property owner. the people of WARREN ST. we are sure The “cul de sac” on Detroit St. has made your block safer and more peaceful. we have seen the roadblock. and the also the gates posted at the alley driving down state line . we have called the hammond P.D . department for years about speeding cars speeding through our neighborhood. we are told to continue to call the police. we were told speed bumps were out of the question but a couple of blocks down on state line road problem solved .cars continue to speed down the block. at times going 40 to 45 miles an hour. just recently police were called because of donuts being performed in the middle of the intersection at state line & warren. we know we are getting extra traffic because of the roadblocks. all we are asking is that we get the same attention that you are given the others.
