    Could you alert the police that people are partying and trashing the area on the south side, just past the tunnel between Wynnewood Rd. and the creek? This land, I am told, is owned by Amtrak and leased by Septa. So, like the train station, our police should keep an eye on what is happening there. There used to be better visibility from the road but it is now heavily overgrown. Ideally a landscaper would come in and return it to the grassy slope it used to be. It has gotten too much for NICE to deal with. A contractor, most likely paid by Septa, does cut the grass. Thanks.

    Someone threw a chair in Indian Creek across from the field. It is in one of those borderline areas - the Borough or Amtrak? Could someone remove it? Thanks.

    I found a no parking sign and 2 pieces of white downspouts in the woods while picking up litter for NICE. I put them along Haverford across from the ball field. Could someone dispose of the downspouts and put the sign back wherever it goes? Thanks.

    There are 2 pieces. Both are very heavy. One looks like a car battery. The other is a plastic box filled with metal pieces that look like big toadstools. They are on a log along Haverford Ave. across from the ball fields. Discovered when picking up litter as a NICE volunteer.

    In prep for Dickens, as a NICE volunteer, raked up 5 bags of leaves from the Septa wooden steps and liquor store parking lot. Would you make sure these are picked up on Tuesday? (Our trash provider may not normally pick up business waste here.) Thanks.

    Here's more from cleaning up the south side by the tunnel. It includes a street sign and part of a park bench and lots of litter. It is on the north side by the bump out on Haverford near the tunnel. Hopefully that is a better spot for pickup.

    I left the concrete ends of the bench in the brush since they were too heavy to move. I found 2 "forts" in the vegetation. There may be more. The problem is vines are growing over trees and fallen branches. There is still some litter in there, though I think we have picked up about 90% of it.

    Would you have someone pick up and dispose of the trash I picked up in the wooded area on the south side along Wynnewood Rd.? I put it by one of the new traffic signals. Included are 2 street signs you may want to rescue, though one has been painted over. There is still a significant amount of trash - beverage containers, food wrappers, a pallet, a dismantled park bench, etc. - in that area. I will try to get to it in the next week or 2, as a NICE volunteer. Looks like some folks have been having lots of fun there.

    There is yellow danger tape across the trail. (Just to the right of Indian Creek.) Since it may have been placed there by the police for some reason, I didn't want to remove it. Would you check with them and if it is not necessary, ask them to take it down? Thanks.
