I don't understand why UDOT has decided to show morbid statistics on the big signs over our freeways. I have seen signs in the Mid-West displaying the number of traffic deaths in the state. In 6 months I watched that morbid statistic grow by the hundreds. Now you are displaying the same type of morbid statistics. To say that Utah road have been free of traffic deaths "2 of 7 days" or "4 of 7 days" only means that we have had people killed on our hghiways 5 of 7 days or 3 of 7 days, etc. This is unbelievably sick and MORBID. It causes me to mourn for the dead, their families and friends. Please stop posting this type of trash on signs that are meant to be useful. These messages do NO ONE any good. They are not going to change the way people drive, whether you believe it or not. Your seat belt signs and other safe driving messages are helpful and quite often clever.
