Heading south on Clairemont, at Ponce, the No Turn on Red sign is partially obscured by tree limbs, which clearly encourages many drivers to endanger pedestrians by turning right on red. Both tree trimming and traffic enforcement would be helpful at this location, the latter with particular emphasis to the hundreds of drivers daily who block the box while driving on Ponce at busy times of day.

Sidewalk beyond handicapped ramp is a hazard to both walkers and persons using wheelchairs.

For over three years, the street lights in front of 125 Clairemont have been out. This creates a really dark area, especially during this time of year. The lights are either the responsibility of the city or of the property owner. Why is it so hard to identify who needs to fix this and hold them accountable?

The drainage hole in front of Agnes Scott keeps getting worse. I know that addressing the situation requires help from GDOT, since this section of the road is a state highway, but is there anything the city can do to encourage the state to do its job?

Two growing potholes on Adair are already damaging vehicles and need prompt attention.

The protected pedestrian walkway in front of the new motel construction has lights installed. They worked for a few days but have been dark for the last week or so. It is really dark in such a covered space once the sun goes down, even more so since the street lights diagonally across Clairemont have been out for over a year (another issue that was reported but has thus far been ignored).

The "Do Not Enter" sign on the SW corner of E. Ponce and N. Candler needs to be reset into concrete. It is set in loose dirt and falls over regularly.

This sidewalk repair was half-done weeks ago and the repair crew left it that way. Pedestrians, including many schoolchildren, are forced to walk in the street in order to get past this obstruction.
  • 125 Clairemont Ave Decatur, GA 30030, USA - Decatur
Not really street maintenance, but there is no category for street lights being out. None of the old-fashioned street lights in front of Town Center Two is working. Neither is the taller one across the street at the corner oh Marshall Street. This combination makes for a couple of blocks of really dark sidewalks at this time of year.

Car abandoned months ago. 112 Hibernia Ave.
  • 160 Clairemont Ave Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
This ZipCar sign just north of the Marriott just about knocked a blind man unconscious today. His cane told him the path was clear and he walked head-on into this low hanging sign (under 5 feet high).

212 East Lake Drive - Decatur
Northbound on East Lake at Park, the right traffic light needs a right-fork arrow. Drivers keep driving straight through the light instead of veering right, and they end up driving in the bike lane.

Adair At W. Howard Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Approaching W. Howard going south on Adair, it is impossible to tell if a pedestrian is approaching from the west because of all the foliage covering the sidewalk. That is, it is impossible without moving into the path of oncoming traffic. Is this the city's problem or should the property owner (Friends Meeting House) be required to clean things up?
  • 340 West Ponce De Leon Avenue Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Maybe not the correct category, but there doesn't appear to be one that fits. The "Stop for Pedestrians" sign in the middle of the crossing in front of Taqueria del Sol has been knocked down again, about a month ago. The sign, when it was up, was particularly effective in this location.
