people in tent encampment currently occulting the grass area at this location has the sidewalk completely blocked with trash bags. While the property they are trashing now is seemingly allowed by the property owner, the sidewalk is owned by the tax payers.
please remove the trash blocking the sidewalk,
    This city is a disaster.

Last Friday am. wind brought down this tree from the property next to ours, the management team of 128 North Winooski ave cut it up for us as it fell in our yard and against our building, taking down fences and near-missing our heat vents.
The tree next to it is even bigger, and we fear it will fall as well as the roots are non-existent on the 2 trees that have fallen from this same property line this year. we would like to have both property owners of these trees to not wait for this larger tree to demolish our home. ( 241 north street and 128 North Winooski ave )
  • Snow Plowing Acknowledged
108 N Winooski Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
whomever is plowing the property at 108 north Winooski ave is pushing the snow across the street--illegal, and packing it around the only fire hydrant between North st. and Grant. This is also against the law, could the city stop this before a tragic fire gets out of control while the fireman chisel through this now frozen embankment?
there should be fines every time, no warnings, please protect us!
  • 132 N Winooski Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric

6th night in a row we come home to find our driveway blocked. 6 in A ROW!!!
during the daytime we would call the excellent parking divition, at night there is no hope.
Year after Year we have documented 100 or more of the same encroachment at the same EXACT location.
This is a quality of life issue of a perennial nature, and the city won't address it to assuage the property owners. (These are predominately out of state cars.)
the vehicle in front of this car has been there for over a week, exacerbating the problem and the truck behind in for 8 days...

when, when is the city going to listen to us??
residential parking , permit only! polease.

Both these vehicles arrived after Thanksgiving break.. student left them here on Saturday , neither has not moved since. The back car is encroached in our driveway. it is dangerous.
UVM students are using North Winooski ave between North and Grant as a long-term parking lot. This is causing people to park their cars encroached in our driveways and in front of the only Hydrant on this section. please get the student to park on campus.

street light across the street has been out for a few weeks, we have reported this issue and it is still out. very dark area and safety issue.

street light out across the street from this address, makes the street dangerously dark
  • N Winooski Ave Burlington, Vermont, 05401 - Burlington Electric
not coincidently, sine the closing of the Elmwood ave parking lot for the homeless to live, the parking has pushed to on North Winooski avenue and has caused rampant driveway blockings and encroachments, and cars daily parking in front of the fire hydrant and causing stress for residential folks who have NO off-street parking.
between the excess college student each having a car and are left for days in the same spot , and people remotely stashing their cars in front of our house for days on end, it is not working for the individuals who LIVE here!!
we need permitted parking and we need it now/

for the 12th year in a row, i have had to inform the new college students living in this rtental house owned by Doug and Mary Boyden to not have fires. The students through the ashes in to recycle 55 gal can , and I found it on FIRE this morning! The students were oblivious to it and the rules. They bad mouthed me as well.
5 star real estate management would not take my calls,. and there was a major fire there just 2 years ago.

north winooski ave being used as long term parking lot (college students mostly) also the VW here is over a foot into our driveway, last night there was also a car on the opposite side of our drive and it TOO was encroaching over a foot. we came home to find we needed to shimmy to a 90 degree angle on a busy street to even get into OUR drive.
please tow these selfish owners vehicles.

there is a back yard the size of Texas so I don't know why they have to do this.
  • Leddy Park Rd Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
political signs ( sarah carpenter ) on leddy park rd. not allowed under state statutes ( billboard law)
also they are being left in the direct sight-line of busy intersections at Lakewood estates and around fire hydrants.
not the best place for billboards. safety first! not election visibility.
  • North St & Park St Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington Electric
Walk button stuck on one of the devices at this intersection as traffic light stays red in all directions when turning over , and leave up to 4 vehicles idling for an extra 15 seconds for no reason. that can add up to a lot of excess waste and imagine how much more could be reduced if light timing were to be more efficient. Our Infrastructure millions put to good use please.
  • 1127 North Ave Burlington, VT, 05408, USA - Burlington Electric
The timer at the Ethan Allen shopping center main exit onto North ave. has a very long wait built into it even during non-rush hour time-frames, leaving one to idle at that intersection to turn left for what seems to be 2-3 minutes. there is no sensor working if there was one.
Can this be timed more efficiently/ it is 2022 ! tons of infrastructure money too.....

this commercial van has been left in front of St. Mark church for over a week and a half. The first snow is still on it. It is encroached into the entrance (as indicated by the PAINTED LINES DELINIATING THE ZONE, It also encumbers the parishioners, some of whom are elderly, from easily navigating this busy area.
please find out who owns it and have them consider moving it, please. It is becoming a safety issue.
