    Hampshire Steet is a total mess. Its been ripped up over the years during several infrastructure repairs such as new sewer & gas lines but has never been properly repaired or paved after those repairs. Its also one of the forgotten streets when it comes to plowing. It is so often forgotten because of its proximity to the South Hadley line. I own driveways on both Syrek and Hampshire Streets because of the layout of my property. Driving down Hampshire in the winter is almost impossible.

    Hampshire St is in desperate need of repair. Year after year it is dug up and patched for various projects but has never been repaved. It is a disaster. The street is narrow and full of potholes and ruts. Has it been forgotten because most people think its in South Hadley? It seems that this part of Chicopee is always forgotten.

    When I called to find out exact zoning on a particular address within the city I was told that info could not be given over the phone: why? Is it because it actually requires that city employee to get up off their backsides and look at the map! Instead I must travel to city hall, find parking when lucky, fend off the panhandlers and drunks and deal with city workers who feel it is their right of employment to be rude to the people whose taxes are in part paying their saleries.
