Since the city remove the small grass areas between the sidewalk and road, drivers are now speeding down the road faster. It looks wider and parked cars are now where the grass was, allowing drivers to move faster down the street. There are children that play outside and cross the street. A lot of people walk. Please put speed bumps like you did on the block of Rosemont on the South side of Washington.

Please put a new crosswalk and blinking walker signs at Colvin and Brevator before school starts. My daughter and other kids walkto high school and many other pedestrians use these crosswalks. I have experienced and seen many near misses with cars. Pedestrians are not paid attention to on this area of Washington Avenue. Please make this area more pedestrian safe with clear crosswalks and the blinking walking sign like you have on North Main. Also consider getting rid of right on red.

The water department was working across the street from my house this evening while I was walking my dog and when I went back inside, my basement smelled like sewage. There were splashes all around the hole in the floor for the pump is. I had been in my basement before I walked the dog to take down dish clothes doe laundry and it did not smell then. The water department must have done something that affected my house. Can they come back and fix the problem they created?
