  • 841 California Drive burlingame, ca - Burlingame
The pedestrian crossing at this intersection does not work. It is primarily a pedestrian crossing as there is no cross street, only a traffic light and pedestrian signal. The light stays green for traffic traveling on California Drive. The result is that people have to cross this busy drive without the benefit of a red light to stop traffic that travels at a high rate of speed.
  • Carolan Ave & Broadway Burlingame Ca - Burlingame
There are two issues with this intersection: 1- the timing of the light: cars turning from carolan onto Broadway wait a LONG time for the light to change. 2- due to the construction at the 101 off ramp and the road closure/detour, a lot of vehicles stack up on carolan to turn right/east onto Broadway. This could be helped with a double right turn lane on carolan as opposed to a single one. That would improve traffic flow during this temporary period.
  • Carolan Ave & Oak Grove Ave Burlingame Ca - Burlingame
This intersection is a nightmare. You have traffic coming from the west on Oak Grove without a stop, but eastbound traffic on oak grove has a stop as does the north and southbound traffic on carolan. Add to the mix a train crossing and high school kids running across the tracks and the intersection. And frustrated drivers who try to jump to stop sign rather than wait. It's a disaster in the making. There is some better traffic control urgently needed here to help manage the flow of cars and people. Please look into it.
