The large tree in the tree box in front of 1721 Franklin st is showing signs of distress. Recently it uprooted the sidewalk seemingly overnight, has been dropping lots of material, and is shooting off new branches all over the place which from what I understand means it's in survival mode. Can someone come inspect it?

Multiple car accidents within one week have left car debris on all corners of this intersection. There were also 4 car accidents within 3 weeks one block east at 18th and Franklin in Dec/Jan. The pedestrian stripes have worn away at 17th and Franklin. The metro buses speed way above the speed limit and cause houses on the block to shake, waking residents in their sleep. How many more car accidents, injuries, and residential damage must occur before the traffic on Franklin St, specifically between Rhode island Ave and 18th St NE is addressed? Please make 17th and Franklin a 4 way stop to reduce car accidents, make it safer for pedestrians, and to reduce through-traffic speeding.

the two pedestrians signs that were placed in the middle of the crosswalk on Franklin Street Northeast have been knocked out by vehicles. Just another example of how UNsafe this intersection is for pedestrian crossing...these signs almost always get run over within a couple of weeks of being replaced.

Pedestrian crosswalk paint is worn off, pedestrian crossing sign has been run over and taken out of the intersection. Please repaint the crosswalks at this intersection and reinstall the pedestrian cones or some other signal for cars. This intersection is very difficult to cross due to speeding, especially at night when cars can't see that a pedestrian is trying to cross. A blinking light would be helpful to alert cars to stop or slow down to the 15mph speed limit so that people can safely cross.

Pedestrian crosswalk light is not visible from cross point. It looks like a truck hit it and knocked it around so that it's facing the opposite direction from where it should be.

Dead racoon wrapped in a towel in front on property in tree box. Been there for a week and we keep being told to wait "24 hrs" for the pick up but still no one has come almost a week later. It is getting more disgusting every day so whoever has to come get it is going to have more work now that it has been sitting there for so long.
