This is the second round of flooded debris from out home.

As usual, our area is the last to receive city services. As we all know and the media reports confirm, the Grosse Pointe area gets daily pickups after the massive sewer backups. Those of us who live in this zip code 48224 have limited incomes and many of us are seniors. Scavengers have been taking lots of the items that all of us have put curbside. Now with the crazy 4th of July fireworks that occur on this bloc, this trash has become a nightmare. Look at the photo of my lovely home. I have lived her 40 years. What does it take to get city services on my block? I guess that I will have to notify the news channels and newspapers. Maybe, that will get this mess picked up.k

Sewer water came up basement drains from 1am to 6am. We had over two feet of water. We have to replace furnace, water heater, dryer, washer and freezer. I am 70 with lupus and physical challenges. My husband is 73. We have lived in our home 40 years. This is a severe hardship for us.

This catch basin is always blocked. Every time there is a heavy rain, the homeowners on this block file a complaint. Check Worden street history.

This home at 10723 Peerless had been a blight issue for several years. It was the site of two murders about four years ago. the house has been abandoned since the murders. the garage has graffiti spray painted R.I.P. by the neighborhood gangs. We have contacted city services many times about this home. It was recently broken into again. the boards were removed off the front door. It is accessible to the drug sellers now.

This tree is on the power lines. It was damaged in the rain storm and part of it is in. The street.

This light pole was hit by a Detroit truck over 6 months ago. The truck backed into the pole. DTE has not come out to remove it after many reports. DTE never responds to our issues on this block. The actual address is 11150 Worden.

Many homes on Worden street between Moross and Casino refuse to remove their trash receptacles from curb sites. During heavy windstorms, they are often in the street and are traffic hazards. They also are open to rats and squirrels. This problem is ongoing and is a safety and health hazard on this street.

I put all three signs (Worden, Casino and Stop sign next to the gas meter on the side of the 10901 Worden vacant home, I told the DTE workers that the signs would be stolen since they were going to leave them lying on the grass near the curb and cut off metal light pole. They told me they could not do anything about the signs. The supervisor of the DTE crew told me it was the city's job to put them back up. This corner of Worden and Casino is extremely dangerous. We have had several police incidents there. We need the signs put back up.

DDTE subcontractors dropped this utility pole on this property at 10901 Worden in the spring. It has been there all summer. This is the fifth time that it has been reported both by phone, email and this site. DTE has a tendency to just drop off these poles and never pick them up or use them in Detroit. This would not happen if I lived two miles away in the Grosse Pointes.
