Two large oak trees at the curb are unfortunately at end of life and need to be removed. Mistletoe is starting to take them over, limbs are rubbing utility lines across the street, and their confined unstable root system continues to damage both street and sidewalk. Their removal should be considered when street repaving assessments are completed this spring, especially when taking into account the street-wide unrepaired pothole that was left behind last summer after sewer line repairs in front of 119 Feld Avenue.

The street is still torn up after a sewer line replacement over a month ago. A deep pothole is forming on one side of the missing asphalt and the gravel is getting washed down the street up to the first speedbump. Please either repair the road permanently or temporarily address the pothole.

This a repeat report for the ongoing yard clutter that spills out onto the sidewalk and both streets. Others have reported the same problem for this location but it continues unpunished. Initially there were monthly follow-up visits from city authorities, but none of the complaints here on the website have been updated in quite some time.

Abandoned car with long expired tags being used for storage and taking up on-street parking.

The once tolerable amount of yard clutter now repeatedly spills out onto the sidewalk and into both corner streets. The makeshift auto mechanic work has left behind a large oil slick on that side of Leyden Street. I genuinely do not like reporting on obviously lower income residents but expect at least a neighborly level of cleanliness and containment. Best of luck influencing better future behavior.
