In the public parking lot behind the Post Office and Concord Bookshop, there are 2 new "electric vehicle only while charging" parking spots. However, I have now attempted to charge my car in one of these spots 4 different times in the past 2 weeks only to find both spots occupied by non-electric vehicles (which were most certainly not charging). It would be nice to see some consistent parking enforcement of this restriction so that folks who wish to charge their EVs are not blocked by illegally parked internal combustion vehicles.

One of the issues could be that the signage for these spots may not be optimally placed so that it's clear that these spots are "EV only while charging" spots, so maybe the town should a) reconsider the placement of these signs, and b) consider marking the spots with green paint or some other marking to distinguish them from the many other spots reserved for non-EVs.

Multiple deep potholes on Higland St

Reopening an issue that was closed by the town a few weeks ago: “Electric vehicle only while charging” parking sign is still missing from EV charging parking space in W Concord MBTA lot. Because it’s not marked, non-EVs park there and prevent EVs from parking there to charge their vehicles. This issue was reported about a month ago and closed, but the sign has not been replaced.

Just wondering why the issue was marked as closed even though it has not been addressed.

Church Street in West Concord was repaved months ago and some road markings have since been added. However, the crosswalk markings for the pedestrian crosswalk at Highland St. have not yet been added. I have seen many cars not even try to stop for pedestrians trying to cross at this pedestrian crosswalk as it is not marked and the signage is not very visible. These markings need to be added ASAP and more traffic enforcement needs to be done at this crossing to make sure that pedestrians can safely cross at this intersection. In the mornings especially, dozens of people try to cross here, including schoolchildren and commuters heading to the W Concord commuter rail station. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Between 7 and 9 every morning, there seem to be many drivers making illegal left turns off of Main St onto Highland St to cut through to avoid traffic backups at the light at Church and Main, esp between 7:15 and 8:15. Highland St has over 30 school-aged children heading to school or to school buses in the morning, and the street has no sidewalks, so kids generally are walking in the street. Car commuters cutting through illegally between 7 and 9 poses a traffic safety issue for all pedestrians. It would be great to see more traffic enforcement to reduce the number of cars cutting through illegally in the morning hours. Thanks!

It is a large area that has been patched before and has degenerated into a series of large holes and ruts that are especially hazardous to bicycles coming down the hill.

The T-intersection where Pine St meets Upland St in West Concord would benefit from an actual stop sign for southbound traffic on Pine St. The intersection already has 2 stop signs for traffic approaching from either direction on Upland, but nothing for Pine St traffic, so every car approaching on SB Pine just rolls on through without stopping. If there are cars stopped on Upland, it can be very confusing because everyone assumes that it's a 3-way stop and expects Pine St traffic to stop. I've seen numerous near misses over the past few years when going through this intersection, and I think an additional stop sign would not only reduce confusion but would also help to slow down the many drivers who tend to speed over the Pine St bridge and then roar through Upland St while cutting over to Old Marlboro Rd.
