Providence Rd needs attention please. The majority of the road from the HS to the southern town line is extremely dangerous for bikers as the weeds extend way out, forcing bikers into the travel lane. Further, the sidewalks are decrepit and unusable in spots. Many residents need to address their frontage while public areas need attention. My son took care of sidewalks on either side of the south grafton water building. (We’re both covered in poison ivy now). The section next to Farnumsville cemetery desperately needs attention.

Yeah, I know it’s a state road but clearly they don’t care. They still need to remove the straw bales by the lake before getting their COC from the paving project.

The kids pulled 4 old tires out of the wetlands as part of the Grafton cleanup. Can DPW please come pick them up?
  • 400 Providence Rd South Grafton, MA, 01560, USA - Grafton
Tire dumped next to the sidewalk on the southbound lane. Located in front of the natural gas facility, just south of the garden store.

The town's management of SeeClickFix is a failure and a waste of taxpayer dollars. There are currently 159 open issues with
another 100 of them not even acknowledged. Some issues have been open for over a year. Since the software implementation, the town only has an 82% closure rate with many of the issues being passed on (It's not our responsibility - It's the state, the utility, etc.).

Let's please add this to an upcoming BoS meeting so that a discussion can be had on how to drastically improve this. We need better accountability, training, and support by/for town staff.

Storm drain is clogged again. Water is pooled well into the travel lane.
  • 373 Providence Rd South Grafton, MA 01560, USA - Grafton
A sign has been placed on the sidewalk, effectively blocking all pedestrian and bike traffic (i.e. kids on bikes). Further, it forces all road bikers into the traffic lane. There is no sensible reason this can't be moved to the grass a mere 20 ft away.
  • 1-5 Hudson Ave Grafton, MA 01519, USA - Grafton
A car has been dumped in the wooded area. The owner has tried to hide it by covering it with brush. This space borders wetlands. This is a violation of the wetlands protection bylaw as well as an environmental hazard.

Sinkhole has gotten progressively worse, and is allowing road salt, etc into the water. Hole is dangerous to bikers. Also, there recently was an accident there recently so there is broken taillight all over. If there was a police report, let's get the accountable party out there to clean it.

The road is torn up badly with chunks of pavement up on the sidewalk. The biggest of the potholes is new and deceiving hidden by the pool of water. There are sections of pavement missing. Pretty bad for cars and impossible for bikes. Bikes can't really go on the sidewalk due to all the debris.
  • 180-182 Providence Rd Grafton, MA 01519, USA - Grafton
Couch dumped on the side of the road.
  • 26 Upton St Grafton, MA 01519, USA - Grafton
When will the cardboard recycling container be open at the public works site? It was closed yesterday with a note to come back later, but no specifics as to when.

When the weeds are taller than the incoming kindergarten class, we have problems. The island at the busiest intersection in town is an absolute eyesore.

It's time we start taking pride in how Grafton looks. If we can't get the basics right such as roadside trash cleanup or public roadway mowing, how can we ever get more difficult things accomplished?

I challenge the town leaders to ride down any of our roadways to evaluate the problem areas. I'll even come along.

The parked trailer which indicates speed limits is a hazard. This nearly caused an accident as bikers are forced to ride into traffic. The trailer blocks 100% of the shoulder. This is also illegal as there is no parking on state roads, as indicated by signage just down this road.
  • 72 Main St South Grafton, MA 01560, USA - Grafton
25 or 30 mph? No need for both signs within 40 yards. A waste of taxpayer $$. This is in both directions.
  • 44-52 Main St South Grafton, MA 01560, USA - Grafton
Both road and sidewalk are deteriorated and are a danger to bikers and pedestrians. These were previously marked with a cone but not is missing and markers. This is the westbound side.
  • 194-196 Providence Rd Grafton, MA 01519, USA - Grafton
No Passing Zone sign is backwards. Should be facing the northbound traffic.
  • 203 Providence Rd Grafton, MA 01519, USA - Grafton
The developer has failed to install proper run-off barriers which has led to excessive material on the road, including sand/dirt and 3/4" stone. This is located at the new townhouse development next to 203 providence rd. There is also debris on the 2nd development entrance (Luka dr.).

I know this neighborhood was spotless as we just cleaned it for Grafton Cleanup day. Now there is recycling material all over the roads. I counted 14 pieces of paper, bottles, etc.

At what point do we review Harvey and the subpar performance? We outsource to them to pick up recycling, not most of the recycling.

This town is an embarrassing dump when it comes to the litter on our roads. We need corrective action plans.

I would like a meeting with the Town Administrator on how we can get plans in place.
