My previous issue was closed with a referral to the ALDOT reporting system. Is the railroad track crossing *on Lily Flagg Rd* considered part of Hwy 231??

There was a dip all the way across the northernmost lane, but only the outside half was filled in. When will you fill in the rest of it?

East side of Whitesburg Dr has developed a semicircular dip even though there's no intake drain there. It's pretty rough at 45 MPH!
  • 101-103 Lily Flagg Rd Sw Huntsville, AL, 35802, USA - Huntsville

When they did the overpass for Lily Flagg/Logan, they made the street on the Mem Pkwy side of the train tracks too high. Before, the Whitesburg side was higher, the Pkwy side was lower, and it was a really smooth crossing. Now that BOTH sides are higher than the tracks, the crossing is really rough! So rough that people slam on their brakes, which leaves cars in the intersection even after the light has changed.

Is there anyway to grade off a little of the Pkwy side, so the crossing is smoother like it used to be? Maybe change it so the yellow is longer to let people fully clear the intersection despite the slow down for the tracks?

  • 7316 Cadillac Dr Se Huntsville, AL 35802, USA - Huntsville
I reported the problem at 7316 Cadillac & the city rebuilt TWO driveway aprons, but *didn't* fix the drainage problem. The ditch is deeper for only about 10 feet. It's just a bigger "pond" that still fills with rain instead of moving the water into the storm drains. Water still pools in the road once this larger basin is filled. Can you dip the ditch north and/or south of this address so that the water flows as it should, off of the road?
