Queens Place is one of only 2 access roads for the whole Camelot subdivision, as such it is heavily traveled. In addition to the neighborhood traffic it also serves as a cut-through for people coming down Green Mountain and from Melanie Drive to gain access to the traffic light at the Bailey Cove and Mountain Gap Road intersection (especially at rush hours). Back in the early 2000s it was paved and the job was exceptional BUT within a year Huntsville Utilities came through and dug 10x5x10 holes in about 12 + places in the street (note this street is only about 1200 ft long). The results is that we have potholes and minor sinkholes that keep reappearing at these places and the street needs a general resurfacing or at a minimum instead of patching just repave several large places (meaning dig it up and redo a section of about 15-20 feet in about 12 places). The long term damage to the vehicles in this neighborhood is getting old it needs a more permanent fix. A drive down the street by anyone on your staff can verify this problem. Thanks for your time.Once again I have to come to you folks and ask you to pave Queens Place (this is the 4th or 5th request) because you keep patching it and it keeps sinking. The last time you turned down my request you came out and patched a few of the places on the south end of Queens Place but left the northern end as it was, it is not got a couple of places you can lose a wheel in, let me make sure once again you understand that these are NOT pothole, these are places you have patched a dozen times and they just sink a bit more doe to some shoddy digging by Huntsville Utilities many years ago (right after they had paved it and everything was perfect). So since you are going to ignore my request for paving like you have to years now, at least come back and take care of the worst of the places on the north end with yet another temporary fix before somebody has a wreck, one of them is that bad and you can't see how bad it is until you hit it since it is not a typical pothole.

(I added this since it happened again today) This is what has become my yearly plea for getting Queens Place repaved but since it was paved in Sandra Moon's first term and then torn up by Huntsville Utilities shortly after it has been a constant potholes, refill, repair sinks, rinse and repeat. Any chance we might see a repaving of this main access to Camelot Subdivision anytime before the next Ice Age? I am sure we all appreciate the repairs but they are short lived, I almost got hit today be a driver trying to miss all the sinkholes of the last "repair". How about some actual help?

Light is out and has been for several days (unless it has been fixed in the last 36 hours)

Light at the NE corner of 12018 Queens Place is dying, burns bright, almost white then goes out, starts the cycle over again after a few minutes. I expect it to just go out in a couple of days.

I submitted this on the 4th of Dec and got email from Jessica Carlton (who conveniently you cannot email back) saying it would be taken care of in "2-3 business days" and some document with electronic signature, since then nothing so how do I get my container replaced since the back is busted out? Several months ago Huntsville Utilities replaced an aging pole next to my driveway but left the old pole and now I cannot see oncoming traffic without backing into the street (attaching picture and this is the BEST it gets since i just trimmed the hedges it gets worse between trimmings) my question is when are they going to remove this old pole before I get hit trying to back out of my own driveway due to a situation caused by Huntsville Utilities. I have asked a couple of people and get answers that boil down to "not my job, Comcast/WOW/AT&T/etc have to do that". So is ANYONE going to fix this before an accident (and lawsuit) happens?

During the pole replacement recently by Huntsville Utilities, one of the wires from the existing pole was pulled loose and is now only about 6ft off the ground and may be getting worse. I am not sure what kind of wire it is (cable/phone/etc) but I do know it was fine before pole replacement and now is posing a possible safety hazard.
