Since the building of the wonderful rotaries near Atkins, and the work on the roads leading to it in front of the entrance to Hampshire College on West St. there have been terrible drains with deep pot holes surrounding them. There are four of these in a row and people drive into them constantly. You have to drive over to the left, usually over the yellow lines to avoid hitting them, and only those of us who have lived here and gone through them a number of times know to avoid them. I called the number which was suggested since these pot holes are on 116, then was sent on to Northampton DPW, who told me that this part of the road is taken care of by Amherst DPW. I have three more pictures of the other three drain/potholes should you need them. These drains were never put in properly years ago and nothing has ever been done to correct them. Very bad pothole connected to the brick crosswalk near the Amherst Fire Station on N. Pleasant St. Deep and can't be seen until you are in it, at night.

At the corner of Arrowhead Lane and Stagecoach Rd., large pothole near the end of the driveway. Also a recent visitor went into the pothole at 28 Stagecoach and wished there had been a cone there for warning. Thank you. I know the weather has not been good for fixing these, recently.

There is a deep pothole in the middle of the road near mailbox 28 on Stagecoach Rd.

There is always 6 inch standing water right at the crosswalk between Lot 62 at UMass and going over to the Art Department, Music Dept. and Bezanson Recital Hall. Even any slight rain creates a mix of mud, leaves and water which gives only a few inches on each side to walk, and invariably leads people to walk outside of the cross walk to get across the street. People accidentally walking into this large puddle will be wet all day. People with Walkers who often come to concerts in Bezanson would be out of luck. I suppose a wheelchair could get through the large puddle until if freezes, making it impassable. Also, when frozen at the top, people don't realize how deep and can go right down into the water. Bad pothole, difficult to see at night.

Street has broken away badly near the 17 Stagecoach Rd. mailbox. Yesterday, some loose gravel was placed there as a courtesy, as people were working nearby. Asphalt would be preferred. Impossible for newspaper delivery, etc.
