    ive been playing musical chairs with some cement left over by the road construction crew. they left in the tree pit, and i take it out. they brush it back in the tree pit and i hand pick it out. now that they are gone, wpuld the DPW be willing to come and take away the pile of cement fill by the tree pit?

    constrction debris is noy allowed in the blue bags and I doubt it will hold it without tearing.

    and more importantly, can we speak w the construction crews again about not using tree pits as construction trash debris receptacles. the concrete and asphalt leftovers tear at the bark and damage the tree bark.

    (filling the tree pits with some half decent loom vs the construction fill with largw rocks we are using now will be a future SCF ticket. Lets give the new trees a chance to thrive)

    I understand there is no ordinance yet from requiring driving schools not to use certain streets for practice, but they have been receptive to police requests in the past, specifically in this area.

    Can we request the driving schools from refrain to use the streets around our schools during pickups and dropoffs times?

    Last week there were 2 JLW vehicles practicing 3 point turns as we were walking down Dexter St for drop off before 830 am. Each vehicle was practicing the 3 point turn 50 yards from each other.

    Dexter specifically is busy with cars and walking parents during these times, due to Beebe and the two Rockland preschools. Minimizing unnecessary traffic at these particular times may be beneficial for the common good. Thank you

    This is in reference to the lights installed on the side of the old Bank of America building for pedestrian access at Exchange St, since the police station was demolished.

    It appears the timer should be reviewed for Daylight Savings time, because the lights were not on at 500 pm yet. But the lights were on later in the evening.

    The eastern crosswalk at Rt 60 and Jackson Street on the S&S side sidewalk does not have a depression to the sidewalk. difficult for wheelchair, stroller or bike to cross. there is a catch basin there, which may make it difficult or may require the depression to shift.
