We were alerted that street sweeping would take place Monday or Tuesday, 8/24 or 8/25.
It would appear that sweeping never occurred. Signs never appeared on poles and there is still a lot of detritus on the side of the street.
Please advise.

Whalley Ave & Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Edgewood
Cars, motorcycles, and dirt bikes continue to be a problem all along Whalley Avenue — both high speed and excessive noise. Occurrence all day long and well into the night, particularly on weekends. Not only on Whalley, but also on Ella T Grasso Blvd.
I know cops are busy, but there is zero enforcement of the speed limit here. Does the city have an ordinance against excessive noise? The vehicles are so loud they can be heard well back into the neighborhoods.
This area is residential as well as commercial and this is both a quality of life and a safety issue.

1464 Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, Connecticut - EdgewoodThe southwest corner of Whalley Avenue and Ella T Grasso Blvd is a mess. Curbs have been pushed into the ground because of cars driving over them repeatedly. There is no city trash container with iron protection to receive the constant waste and trash dropped by customers of Alma’s Market and Crown Fried Chicken. The sidewalk is partially crumbling and it is often heavily littered and the waste and trash drifts to the South and creates a mess on house lawns. The entire area needs a rebuilding by the city. Until that is done, why is not trash container placed on the southwest corner? This has been reported to the alder several times, but nothing has been done.

This tree is supposed to be one of three in the new traffic island. While you're at it, you might consider replacing trees planted at the roadside that didn't make it between Westville and Amity.

The sidewalk and grassy area next to the curb is a mess. Because of heavy foot traffic in front of stores, the grass is long since gone, so the area should be bricked over.
At the very least, the Boulevard side of corner needs an additional refuse container because the public has nowhere to deposit wrappers of food bought at the store and quickly eaten on site. There is a container on the Whalley side that is insufficient to address the need.

Westville Ct - WestvilleA vehicle knocked down a tree in a traffic island on Whalley between Harrison and Blake. This was two weeks ago, but the tree is still alive, and it can be easily righted and then reinforced. Please take care of it. It's a new tree in a new traffic island.
