The newspaper guy that is at the line to the ferry, has to drive on the sidewalk. He is not a good driver and I have seen a few near misses with pedestrians. I don’t want to take his livelihood away but this is going to end bad if he continues.

Any progress on securing the signs or work order?

    Original response:
David Y., Traffic Engineer (Verified Official)
Parking in the downtown area is being coordinated through the City Manager's Office staff.

I'm coordinating with them on signs and markings for on and off-street parking.
The area in front of the dental building will be changed to 5 minute drop off area and some no parking right at the entrance so vehicles can enter the lot and not have to wait for stopped vehicles.
The remainder of the lot will continue to be timed parking and enforcement has increased.

Remnants of a past or unattended homeless encampment, includes shopping cart full of garbage, the area is also covered with trash. If the guy that’s been living there for over a month now has gone please clean up his “belongings“.

And just for the heck of it, I’ll ask (again) why the abandoned trashed car is still in the back of the post office parking lot?

Burned out garbage can, next to the dental office is on the waterfront.

These two dumpsters have been in the landscaping for a couple of months now. They don’t appear to be in service as they are locked up, never emptied, because they are never used. ?

When reported previously, was told that permit would expire in July. Did it get renewed? Is there any kind of time frame for completing this type of work? I seems like a hobby for the owner, not any serious progress happening. Building Division has not returned my call inquiring about this.

The regular biweekly dumping of another mattress and box springs in front of this address, don’t know why they aren’t having Recology pick it up. Perhaps it’s because this is the fifth mattress and box springs This year and are over the 2 pick up limit. But don’t worry the city of Vallejo will clean it up yet again.

Dumping, high weeds, graffiti, and a pile of rocks from the City. It’s a multi department issue, not just illegal dumping, not just graffiti, not just high weeds, please assign to all the appropriate departments.

RV, totally not road worthy, no licence plates.
  • 331 Capitol Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo
From the corner of Sacramento and Capital to Santa Clara & Capitol, on the south side of the block, the sidewalk has weeds growing 5 feet tall as does the landscaping for Marina Tower apartments. Garbage bags dropped and general trash in the gutter, Street never gets swept. Not in front of any residences so no one takes care of the sidewalk.

Ferry Building Parking On Mare Island Way Vallejo, California - Vallejo
I just noticed the sign posted “no parking after business hours” until 6 AM for the ferry building parking lot. Perhaps it’s just a fantasy, but what about posting that near the dental building where we have the homeless encampment vehicle set up all the time? And again, do police even enforce the overnight ban on parking?
