West Foothill Parkway / Border Avenue Corona, California - US Congressional District CA44
On the Westbound Foothill Parkway at Border Ave I witnessed a driver run the red light at 6:15 am this morning at +50 mph in a Silver Chevy Silverado Pickup Truck w/ ladder in the back.
Watching people run the red lights and stop signs has become an almost daily occurrence on Foothill between Lincoln and Serfas Club. Engineering's plan for using the traffic signals for speed control has not been effective and has resulted in some drivers ignoring the devices completely. Speeds of over 60 mph are witnessed daily and the roadway has become a freeway bypass. It is actually now unsafe to attempt to drive the speed limit between Trudy Way and Paseo Grande due to aggressive/speeding drivers . In my opinion, concentrated traffic enforcement during all times of the day in the above mentioned area will curb scofflaws, reduce speeds, increase safety and decrease traffic as it becomes a slower alternative to the freeway.

97 S Maple St Corona, California - Corona2ND NOTICE: At 4:15am every morning I get on the 91 freeway at 6th/Maple. The signal is timed very quickly for northbound traffic crossing the bridge. As a result only 5 or 6 cars can make the light before the eastbound 91 offramp light turns green for approx 60 seconds. Almost every morning at least one car runs the red light, there have been a few close calls. Can something be done about the timing?

1865 West 6th Street Corona, California - CoronaSignal timing only allows for 5 or 6 vehicles traveling Northbound per cycle. As a result vehicles are observed regularly running the red light. This morning at approx 4:20 am there was almost a collision as a Northbound vehicle ran the red light. Previously the light programming was such that vehicles exiting the 91 eastbound would only get a green light after triggering the roadway sensor, i.e. the Northbound signal was almost always green.
