Street Sweeping Open1555 40th St Emeryville, CA 94608, USA - ClawsonWhat is the street sweeping schedule for the 40th St. Bridge? It seems as though there is constantly broken glass in the bike lane. The glass pictured here is in the bike lane traveling in the western direction, and has been there for several weeks already.

Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter Issue Archived5792 Shellmound St Emeryville, CA 94608, USA - EmeryvilleThis pile of rocks is obstructing the bike lane and is an accident waiting to happen. Looks like it is leftover from street work that occurred at this intersection a few weeks ago.

Flooded Bike Lane
This portion of the Shellmound bike lane has been flooded for over a month now. It creates a hazard for bicyclists and motorists because the flooded bike lane forces bicyclists into vehicular traffic in order to avoid riding through the flooded curb side.

Other Issue/Concern Archived5800 Christie Ave Emeryville, CA 94608, USA - EmeryvilleI just witnessed a bicyclist who was WALKING her bicycle in the crosswalk nearly get hit by a vehicle that was turning right (westbound) onto Powell from the second right turn lane. The women was walking northbound on Christie (towards the gas station) and had the right of way as the walking signal was still counting for her to cross. This intersection is a serious hazard for all pedestrians crossing and a safer solution for crossing must be implemented before any more lives are lost.

Sidewalk, Curb, Gutter Issue Archived6367-6399 Shellmound St Emeryville, CA 94608, USA - EmeryvilleAs of Friday January 8th fencing has been placed over the sidewalk and bike lane preventing any safe route for pedestrians to use while walking on this stretch of Shellmound. This has also created a conflict between pedestrians who have no other choice but to use the bike lane (there is no sidewalk on the other side of the street), and cyclists who have to veer into oncoming traffic to make room for pedestrians.
