Stevie Wonder tries Backhoe Parking. Smashes new granite curb, smashes new concrete sidewalk, throws dirt from tread all over the place, and leaves asphalt patch on new road that looks like a toddler with a sandbox. Ditches backhoe in empty lot by river for holiday weekend.

Start respecting our neighborhood or we are going to start disrespecting your backhoe with cordless power tools, paint, and bags of feces.

  • Lamp Strobing Archiviato
520-556 Quinnipiac Avenue New Haven, CT - Fair Haven Heights
This light is doing what looks like the classic Mercury/HID failure. On for five minutes off for five minutes, all night long. The strobing is driving us nuts and throws the intersection into darkness. A prompt repair would be greatly appreciated.

There is constantly a Jaguar or a Cadillac parked over the entire sidewalk at this location. Pedestrians have to walk into or cross the street in order to get thru. I spoke with one of the vehicle owners and was glared at and told, "Yeah? We got a parking problem here."

Personally, I don't care. I want to be able to push my kids stroller and visit my neighbors without having to walk into a road saturated with speeders at a three way intersection. I tried to warn them the friendly way, now ticket or tow 'em.

  • Open Manhole Archiviato
Clifton St New Haven, CT - Fair Haven Heights
There is an open manhole at the entrance to the Fairmont Park garden area. It has been masked with pieces of concrete. It is located on the West side of the entrance near the edge of the street and has potential to be VERY dangerous.

I think driving under a painted bridge makes a neighborhood look much friendlier than driving under a rusty bridge. With this train overpass being a bit of a gateway to our neighborhood, perhaps we could focus on presentation a bit... (They make graffiti resistant paint now too...)
